Battle Creek is where I was born. Lived there for 2 or 3 years and spent many summers there as well. It always smells like fruity pebbles there in the summer time. My favorite cereal!
This brought back memories. We used to beg my mom for the “breakfast candy” cereals. She bought us Cornflakes and Cheerios and bought herself a box of Frosted Flakes because children shouldn’t have sugar 😂
Thank you for visiting Michigan.
Love the hat
Who would have thought, a cereal museum! We always enjoy your vlogs of unusual museums and roadside attractions! Many of these cereals have been around for a long time! Great Vlog and another place we will have to visit!
In the early 70’s we went on a tour of the Kellogg’s factory in Battle Creek, Mi. where they made the cereal! I can still remember the smell of it! At the end of the tour you got to try different cereals! I don’t think they do tours anymore!
Hey to the cutest couple 🥰 ---- this was fun. I don't eat cereal but I'm definitely a Pop Tarts gal😄
I have always loved cereal. So much so that if I'd had a bad day at work I would have cereal for dinner. This little museum brought back a lot of memories. Lots of history there. Fun side note...We use to go to the Laguna Arts Festival & the gentleman who was the MC & commentator was always the man who was the voice of Tony the Tiger.
Great little museum brings back memories of growing up with all the cereal choices Thanks to both you and Katie
Greatest Museum Ever!!
I grew in house with no highly sugared cereal. So no fruity pebbles, no sugar smacks, no fruit loops. We were allowed grapenuts oatmeal or cream of wheat. Boring lifeyup.....
Kids go to school and bounce off the walls because of the high sugar cereals, pop tarts, Kool-Aid, soda's. Doctors label them attention deficit syndrome >> prescribe lithium and other toxic meds when all they need in the right food and drink.
Same..
So many cereals i really enjoy eating for breakfast, with my favorite being Frosted Flakes. Two reasons: the first, because they taste so good! A little bit of sweetness from the "frosted" topping, so sugar isn't needed, and second, because my Great-Uncle Thurl Ravenscroft was the original voice of Tony the Tiger. He had a beautiful deep voice, and is heard in many Disney movies (Lady & the Tramp and Pinocchio are two of them) as well as throughout Disneyland/Disney World (the Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Caribbean are a couple of them). He also recorded several records with the Mellomen. Sadly, he passed away in 2005.
Brings back lot memories eating cereal
Great video! Brings me memories of the past!
Katie reminds me of a young Misty Rowe from the Hee Haw television show.
Native Michigander here 🙋🏼♀️. Thanks for the vlog on Battlecreek.
Hi Jordan & Katie you tube channel Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖💖
Born & bred Michigander grew up a 1/2 hr

My sister is a pop tart addict at 66 she still loves them, cereal was and still is her go to meal lol. Interesting visit ty Jordan🤗🥰🐾🎈😎
I love cereal!
✨Love cereal as a snack especially Fruit Loops and Fruity Pebbles. My favorite was Ninja Turtle cereal when it was out as kid. That was when the figurines and movie was so popular. I always enjoy your vlogs that spark nostalgia. ~Love&Light♥️C.
Ahhhh, the good ole days when they bragged about the main ingredient SUGAR!! Sugar Bear, Super Sugar Crisp, Sugar Pops....😊
No kidding! Good point!
Don't forget the favorite cereal of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes: Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs
Loved the video, thanks Jordan and Katie
This was so cool to watch! I love cereal!
Thanks for remembering our childhood memories with all of these cereals and pop tarts. My father used to eat a bowl of Kellogg’s Corn flakes every morning before going to work as my brother, sister and I enjoyed the alphabets cereal, rice crispies, or Frosted Flakes. I also remember my mom eating the Special K cereal with a cup of Postum. Thank you Jordan & Katie for taking us to Battle Creek❣🙏 Give Jah a hug for me too❣
Kellogg's sugary cereals are one of the reasons I'm alive today;
due to my May, 2017, stage-4 cancer diagnosis,
statistically, I was predicted to be gone by autumn, 2022.
During the duration of my 6 chemos
(May through Oct.)
the only "foods" that tasted,
Exactly as they should,
were Kellogg's cereals, puddings, jellos, and strangely, McDonald's burritos.
(ALL other foods, and drinks,
tasted like eating cardboard.)
We discovered the McD's burritos
by chance,
in August, 2017.
Without them,
I don't know if I'd be here;
I looked like a A.H. d.-camp survivor,
by then.
Exercising, despite the severe weakness, daily, and my saint of a man
(oddly, a variant got him🕯, a few months after my all-clear of cancer)
were other reasons for my survival.
I hadn't had those particular cereals,
since I was under age 10.
(They were my daily breakfast "meal" I looked forward to, those six months.)
Thank you, Kellogg's, and McDonald's;
those food preservatives kept me sane, and able to do my required walking, despite chemo attempting to take everything from me.
Before 1986 Kellogg's gave factory tours. That was a lot of fun, and at the end of the tour you got a big box of Kellogg's Corn Flakes. They used to have a museum also. They stopped the tours because of fear of corporate secrets being revealed. My whole family on both sides were born in Battle Creek.
Yeah, we read they discontinued tours. Interestingly, apparently Kelloggs has to keep a certain amount of employees in battle creek, no matter what..
Worked at an outsourcing bakery and we would get the flakes from Kellogg then bake the flavoring on the flake then package the cereal. In a sense I worked with Tony the Tiger. Never saw him though darn it!
Always laugh when Jethro had that big salad bowl
I went on a class trip and toured the actual factory where they made the cereals, many years ago. Thank you for jogging my memory, Jordan and Katie. You make the best vlogs that so enrich our lives!
Dig em... is so chill.
I got that mini Dig'em.. I had to
I was born in Kalamazoo 1958! Been to Kelloggs when i was a young'un!!!
Great video

So much fun! Brings back my cereal days!! I liked the variety boxes of cereals! The cereal commercials were the best!!
Snap, crackle and pop! Tony the Tiger and his GRRRRREAT!!
Those were the best days, as kids!!
Thanks Jordan and Katie ❤❤. My sister use to take the Marshmallows out of our Lucky Charms Cereal 😢
Hey Jordan and Katie how's it going?
Awesome place brings back memories I love the fruity pebbles thanks for the awesome video
Nice museum, my favorites are Cocoa Pebbles and Golden Crisp. Thanks Jordan & Katie for the tour!
I remember the pop tart, we had them a few times, but I have to say that I didn't really care for them. I do like Post and Kellogg's cereals though. I have to say that I am not one to venture off too far when it comes to trying new things, therefore, Kellogg's Rice Krispies are my favourite all time. My mom used to make a really neat snack called "Peanut Butter Squares" with the Rice Krispies. Nice museum!
my favourites to this day are Sugar Bear golden crisps and Honey Combs
Thanks for a fun video!! I remember most of those types of cereals. Loved so many of them. XOX
Cute little museum. Growing up, my Mom used to drink Postum and other coffee substitutes...I like them...
My Auntie used to make us eat King Vitamin when we were younger ishhh. But my favorite cereal growing up was Coco Puffs. But the Coco Puffs when i was a kid in my opinion tasted alot better than the stuff these days lol.
The Kellogg brand and many of the characters are well known over here in the U.K. It's amazing to think there was once 100 cereal factories in the one town! Really enjoyed these vlogs from Battle Creek, many thanks Katie and Jordan and safe travels.
I have the Kellogg cookbook 😊
"Sugar Bear' is modeled after actor Robert Mitchem‼. My brother and I were not allowed to eat processed foods, (it would make u cry for us :(-any Hoo ,......we watched the sugared cereal commercials with LUST‼❣‼ Well, since we weren't allowed much tv, (from the devil ya' know? That old chestnut) We grew up on Disney Channel, PBS and old movies. One of our favorites was, "Rachel and the Stranger" w/Robert Mitchem, William Holden and Loretta Young. (Great-great movie that most don't know about? Highly recommend it!!!!) and it was then in our lil' 1-digit aged brains we made the connection that, "Sugar Bear" was "Robert Mitchum"!!!!! Ask my brother!? We don't speak any more so; you'll get an honest answer, that is the truth!!! 😇 lol oh, life ur funny! ‼ 😕apologies for the run on sentences-it's a BOMB memory that left scars on our cereal-less hearts🤗
that looks pretty cool to see up close and person
Next time, take me. We'll wear "Cereal Killer" t-shirts and the title can be changed to "exploiting" instead of "exploring" 😂
Amazing video
The Birthplace of wrestling legend Rob Van Dam! As well I just bought a few of those cereals today at the store lol.
Nice 😊
Battle Creek has a cool place called Horrock's Farm Market, in the mall. They have every kind of food you can imagine, and a nice cafe in the store, you should check it out. There's one in Lansing, Michigan too. You have to see it to believe it.
You should check out the Kelloggs summer home by Gull lake
I grew up in Portage which is not too far from Battle Creek
If you ever get back to Battle Creek let me know I could have gotten you hot air balloon ride in Sugar Bear
A little known fact. Bug parts are allowed in all cereals...Soon many foods will have Bill Gates factory raised bugs...Bon appetite.
Probably happens in restaurants too.. especially in Georgia or places where flies are everywhere
No Jah on this adventure?
She So Pretty I Would Like To Say You are A Great Men And You Rook From Your Friend Jennifer Williams In Redlands California
Cool and fun place to visit for free . Grew up with all those cereals . 🥣
I only liked corn flakes, rice Krispies and grape nuts. A treat was Captain Crunch. I still love that
Loved grape pop tarts. No frosting . Can't find them anymore
