    Alternatively you can unscrew the clutch lever switch box, pop the tabs to open it, and look inside to see why the connection isn't being made. I had the same problem and simply cleaning the copper connections inside fixed it.

      Absolutely... and if it's totally busted just get a new or working 2nd hand one to replace the one that isn't working. There's many annoyances to be modded on the pig, but this safety one they actually got somewhat right isn't one of them... (I wrote "somewhat right" because the switch is too flimsy and should've been made sturdier than it is). Ride safe everyone! ;)

    Just what I was looking for, for a broken switch for klx300 👍🏻

    Better to link this behind the dash but it’s a bit tight in there.
    This mod is well worth doing as it makes the bike a touch less laggy when engaging gears from the off.

    Hmm! Seems like a good temporary fix for me, since pulling in the clutch to start is such a habit, I even do it when I'm in neutral! On the other hand, the switch not working and me having to go to neutral and let the clutch out to start is a safety issue if I were ever to stall at a light or pulling out, for example.

    Until I got my '07 Road King all my all my Harleys did not have that safety switch. I got jarred forward lots of times when I pressed the starter.🤣

    Genuine question tho, if mine is broke, and I don’t mind starting my bike in neutral as I normally do it anyways, do I have to fix it?

    • @AdventureTomek
      @AdventureTomek  Před rokem

      No, if you don’t mind it then you don’t have to do anything with it

      @@AdventureTomek I had a weird experience just now actually, I was testing to see if everything worked and it won’t get up to speed after 2nd gear higher than like 20 mph. It’s like it’s not picking up the gear or something
