- For decades now Chick Corea and Bobby McFerrin have been playing alongside each other - whether it be jazz or classical music, in concert or in a studio. And there is a meeting of minds particularly when it comes to improvisation, as in this live recording of a concert at the Verbier Summer Festival. It presents Bobby McFerrin and the Chick Corea New Trio, including Chick Corea (piano), Avishai Cohen (bass) and Jeff Ballard (drums). This concert shows the spontaneous, yet always inspired and congenial musical partnership of two of the greats in contemporary music. Every sequence of their music is unpredictable - even for themselves.

Su post-jazz nos hace olvidar todos los fracasados intentos de esa otra música anclada en el pasado y dormida en la soledad del post-serialismo inútil, que ya no puede conectar con la gente de l siglo XXl. ese compositor aislado en su caverna que nunca acaba de conectar con la audiencia

The two others are Avishai Cohen on double bass and Jeff Ballard on drums, two of the best musicians in the world.
one thing though: Bobby McFerrin is SO AUTHENTIC in every phyisical gesture he makes while sings....i can't question anything because those gestures come FROM WITHIN...from the heart...
meanwhile...chick corea playing with his mouth open and like its about to swallow his tongue, how on earth is that authentic? how?? he only leaves me with the impression that he just TRY to imitate authentic gestures that come from within.
about the doublebass player the same....his gestures only makes me see how he struggels to imitate something that he doesnt have. AND I DONT SEE THE POINT IN THAT....like, WHATS THE POINT??!!!??!
