    BACKGROUND INFO
Watching an episode of the prettiest girl in class about Annelien Oosterbaan, I was touched in my heart. I knew her from my student days and the fact that she had been diagnosed with Parkinson's at 33 hurt.
What also happened was that once again I had a deep belief in me that Parkinson's does not have to be a progressive disease for everyone. Again? In 2014, I had the same with Diabetes2. I committed to that. And indeed, diabetes2 does not have to be progressive about everyone at all. It can turn around and some people even get rid of it completely.
Of course, you can't compare diabetes2 100% to Parkinson's. Yet there are comparisons that also hold true, such as:
    1. in the world there are people who have been cured of Diabetes2 and of Parkinson's disease
    2. healing requires more than just changing your diet and exercising more
    3. More quality of life does not come with a pill, it is a process for which you have to work yourself. And that means it is not for everyone.
I now teach the Overcome Parkinson's course together with Lilian Sjoeberg. My role in this is to help people with Parkinson's to be aware of the choices they have so that they can then structurally choose choices that contribute to their quality of life instead of destroying it.
I am grateful to see that, indeed as I thought/deeply knew, Parkinson's does not have to be progressive for everyone. There is hope for people with Parkinson's!
