- The first time I saw this dynamic duo, I don't think I stopped laughing the entire song. Their energy, style, musicality and vocals are divine, and the humor laced in the lyrics makes for such a fun experience. I expect nothing less from this one!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Silk Sonic again, performing "Smokin' Out The WIndow”.

can you do anderson paak tiny desk concert ? its amazing and the video is short
I love your reactions, but you pause tooooooooooooooooo much
I didn’t realize Pam Beasley had a reaction channel. Nice
They are the greatest 70's band that actually isn't from the 70's.
Check out The Sheepdogs for more modern 70’s bands 😋😉
Nah, they are great...but the 70's had a lot of great groups...Stylistics, Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire, Enchantment, Delphonics, Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes, Jacksons, Commodores, OJays, etc just to name a few.
@@calmnrelaxed I don’t think you understood what they meant
@Diamond4422 maybe, but none of the groups I mentioned started in the 70's
@@kburdy Thanks, I will.
Bruno Mars never goes wrong. Incredible music all the time!
Anderson.Paak never goes wrong. Incredible music all the time! Both are awesome!
This entire album is impossible to listen to, without a cheesy smile the entire time. They had an idea they wanted to portray with this song and they nailed it on the head. Composition is incredible, lyrics are hilarious. One of the greatest bands of the last century.
This is the smoothest Diss Track ever.
I love that Bruno has evolved his style into 70's soul/motown the last few years. At first i didn't really like his songs but now that he did changed up a bit i'm digging these tracks! It was like a fresh wind blowing through mainstream pop music. It's probably also why i like the recent Dua Lipa's songs, they also got these lovely baselines going. Love it!
He has some old songs that are definitely bangers but his vibe nowadays is godly, every hit is a banger, this fella has me singin and dancing in my kitchen and in the mirror like a fool 🤣🤣🤣.
One thing that I think is overlooked is Paak incorporating a Southern Baptist Pastor with the: "ooooone thing fo sho! oooon thing fo sho". Even the mannerism is on point.
I'm not a Bruno Mars fan but he really does seem to have his own sound when most new artists sound the same so I can respect that. This is funny.
yeah the last few years musically have been definitely getting better. Bruno here doing the classic soul/r&b stuff. The Sheepdogs doing the classic rock kinda led zeppelin/allman brothers mix. I hope it's a sign of good things to come.
Uhmm won't say it's his sound maybe his niche....might be wrong
Who's NOT a Bruno Mars fan? There's no such thing.
"Smokin Out The Window" songwriters: Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and D'Mile
Producers: Bruno Mars & D'Mile Vocal Producer: Bruno Mars
Music Video Directors: Bruno Mars and John Esparza
Vocals, guitar, percussion: Bruno Mars Vocals: Anderson .Paak Bass, piano: D'Mile Drums: Homer Steinweiss
Check out their live performances of SOTW at the American Music and Soul Train Awards. Both are excellent. You also need to experience their album "An Evening With Silk Sonic." It doesn't disappoint.
TRIVIA: Everyone in this music video is a member of Bruno's backing band the Hooligans (except for Andy of course).
Thanks for highlighting Anderson's singing ability as well. Also the spirit of Michael Jackson and James Brown were in full effect with this song
Loved absolutely everything about this, the vocals, the smooth choreography and presentation topped off with their tongue in cheek humour and playfulness.... I want more !
Bruno is a true performer and singer all of his songs are great and fun.
The whole album is great. I like how much fun they all seem to be having, they don't seem to be taking themselves too seriously and are just incredibly talented.
Your laugh is the most adorable thing ever, makes your videos so endearing. And I love your analysis as well, you always make me discover new things about the music - seriously appreciate your input!
Oh shut up with the lovey dovey crap
@@SLIGHTTONE love you too.
I love that both song, outfits and lighting makes my brain go into 70's vibes 🤩 it's retro in all the right ways ❤️
straight to the disco, even though none of them was alive for disco!
Bruno Mars just has been working his way through the decades like look at it he started his career singing that 2000s early 2010s style of music that he kind of patented and then he decided you know what I'm going to work my way through genre and decade and I'm here for it.
Holy crap! That redefines smooth. And those background harmonies are fire.
They're so good. They're So Good. They're so GOOD! They take me back to my teen years when Smokey Robinson and the Miracles ruled the airwaves. Unbelievable talent on display here. Thanks so much for the reaction, Elizabeth! For a similar experience with the blues, I think you'd crush on Shoshana Bean singing Make It Rain at The Theatre At Ace Hotel.
The dog howling analogy was so cool.
It’s always fun to have professionals point out details, thank you. This is one of my favorite songs with the serious R&B vibe complimented with Paak’s humor. He said in an interview that Bruno pushed him vocally & seems to have worked out well!
I love the interplay between the two of them. Their first handoff at the THIS. BITCH. cracks me up every time.
Bruno's 'wroh-ooh-oh-ooh-ong' is almost identical to the way he sings the word 'long' in the chorus of Locked Out of Heaven.
Good catch!
exactly what i thought first time i heard it
We saw them in Vegas August 2022.... OUTSTANDING !!!!! from start to finish. Clever, brilliant and so talented theses guys!
This isn’t something I would ordinarily come across in my listening, but being exposed to different styles of music is a good thing! It’s hard to deny the groove of this song, and they really nail the retro soul vibe they’re going for. Thanks for this one Elizabeth, your joy and passion are always so infectious!
I was lucky enough to see Bruno Mars before the pandemic, and yes, he IS that smooth irl!
Please please please do Put On A Smile!!! By far the most impressive song on this album! I think you'll looooove it! :)
Elizabeth, I love your reactions/breakdowns. How can we not smile and giggle at this song/video? And I adore the choreo. 🔥
I'm an old man but grew up with 60s soul. It's back with these guys and the band. Real music is back 🙌. Love you Bruno, Anderson, the band. Love to America 🇺🇸 from England 🇬🇧
Bruno Mars is an incredible talent. The sky is the limit for his career if he stays focused.
True. Although Anderson is responsible for a lot of the complexity, and comedy, of this group of songs.
Richard, i love what you said. Thanks.
Man has like 11 Grammys ..he doin ok
I do think that this project with anderson. paak definetely brings out the best in him.
Shoot, Bruno is already in the sky. Hell, he's in space at this point. Living legend.
Paak has proven a lot with this album. He's a made man from now on.
I have watched the whole show many times now but it always amazes me. What a stunning collaboration. Each number is crafted into a chapter with different moods and styles that complement each other perfectly. I would say it is the ultimate body of work that lifts you and transports you to a different era. Thank you for reacting to it to give me another reason to listen to it again
For quite some time I've been wanting to recommend Earth, Wind & Fire for Elizabeth's reaction. There is one specific performance of Fantasy that I really want to use, but I haven't been able to find it on CZcams. I have an audio CD which says it was "Recorded Live in Japan April 20, 1995". I've found other performances from Japan on other dates, but they don't compare to this one. Maybe there is no existing video for that date -- I have no idea.
Anyway, if you can find a good live performance of Fantasy, I think you'll love it.
this? czcams.com/video/Vunc_fh9AQA/video.html
Any Earth, Wind and Fire would be great!
As much fun as this group is... don't underestimate your reaction video making it fun to experience the music along with you! You've made this delightful and fun to watch as well!
might be the best musicians currenlty actually playing music out there right now
Elizabeth, when I had a hard day, I just need to see you reacting to a video and it feels so much better. Thank you for being you and how expressive you are. Loving it. Love your videos!!!!
You’re my favorite vocal coach reaction channel by far ❤❤
Bruno Mars' falsetto is like yummy maple syrup cascading down a stack of golden pancakes!
🥞😋
Your laugh is infectious. I love how passionate you are about these reactions. Keep up the great work!!
Give them all the grammys!!!!
Can't wait to see who Bruno works with next
Facts
Hopefully Anderson Paak again. Maybe add Thundercat?
@@15ironreaver Nah, Bruno is too talented to stick to the same shtick.... I want him pushing limits, Maybe a pop artist next like Ed Sheeran type
@@dcanngieter Bruno has definitely been pushing limits on this album. Anderson is super talented, and one of the best drummers out there today. He already has an collab with Ed. I think he really found himself in this genre, and that is what matters.
@@dcanngieter Let's just hope not Ed Sheeran. He needs someone better than that. Ed's last songs were definetely bad.
I would like to see him with another great r'n'b/soul artist. Also not to forget, anderson. paak brings a lot to the table.
I love your comment about how different but/and amazing the quality of their voices are.
Got their own styles but together they're even better. Their skills and (maybe) their personalities complement each other well. The joy they let us experience just by watching and listening to them is undeniable. Really talented and fun-loving guys.
im a die hard metal head but LOVE these two! this song speaks to me soul
I think it's high-time we hear a little bit of love for Steve Perry here. His vocals are outstanding (plus Journey is one of my all-time favourite bands) :)
Almost any time is Steve Perry time.......
YES!
🙋🏻♀️ I'm here for that! "Feeling That Way/Anytime" definitely has my vote. I just hope it's not "Winds Of March". I love that song, it's one of my favorites and showcases Steve's voice so well but it's too sad, especially when Elizabeth is about to have her baby.
Every time I listen to Bruno, I hear 70's funk and some jazz. Love it!
It’s a legitimately perfect song, coupled with the PERFECT video to accompany it.
Plus I love one gets the sense that Silk Sonic is just not gonna stop. This is clearly not just a one off side project for either of these great artists.
This is the greatest album I've heard in years! This is typically not my type of music but man, this has me shook to the core! Every song is just such an impact and they both deliver incredible skills and rythms! 12/10 plus this video is freaking hilarious haha
Then you don't listen to much good music
@@derfrosch1487 What you concider good music might not be good to me and vice versa. Im my mind I only listen to good music.
I agree. I'm a prog rocker, and this album is the best album I've heard in at least a decade. Genius music and genius lyrics!
R & B of today just is not as good as this! The good old days.💗💗💗
@@vickyburton2434 when was R&B ever good?
Loved this Elizabeth... I've watched this song so often, but watching it through your eyes was wonderful. Keep giggling💜
This reaction just filled me with joy. Came very close to matching my favorite of yours, the reaction to Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey. Your pure love of music is so contagious, and as a singer myself your technical grasp of music just adds even more. So thanks for what you do and bringing some joy to a world that needs that more than anything right now. 💖
Musically awesome. Vocals and vibe are perfect. And those lyrics..!
You are right!!! Bruno makes me tingle.. Love him!!!
Awesome song, love the style and humor in their masterpieces.
I love the way you seem to be melting down out of love for these two while you listen to and watch them, and giggling all the time... this is my exact reaction about every damn thing they release. Love Bruno and Anderson so much. Each of them apart was already brilliant, but together they're the best thing ever.
I love how you can analyze the song as you are listening to it, on top your own reactions!
So real.
I kinda wish you had commented on those two vocal runs that Bruno does right before the end of the song. The precise intervals from high to low at that speed are incredibly difficult.
The joy on your face when you hear something you like is so infectious
Love ❤️ your face expressions, eyes, smile, laugh sm to Bruno’s vocals, notes, full seto, tone
So thankful to have come across this video. I smiled the entire time watching your reactions and listening to your delightful and insightful expertise.
you HAVE to listen to put on a smile!! one of the best vocal performances from bruno that I've ever heard!
The groove, disco so smooth and clean very retro love ❤️ this 70’s and 80’s band
I've heard this fifty-leven times but your reaction has me laughing all over again. Enjoyed it.
Love ❤️ them both sm so talented
Bruno’s and aanderson’s dance moves so clean and smooth
I LOVE this reaction. This is most realistic reaction anyone could feel listening to "Smoking out the window". Makes you "school girl-giggle" through out the whole song. Really appreciate that you kept it authentic. God bless. ❤🔥
During the whole reaction video I was waiting for you to get to the end with Bruno's high notes! Amazing!
This is the greatest review ever done on CZcams! Well done pretty lady, well done!
After the heaviness of the last video of yours I watched ("One" by Metallica) this is JUST what I needed! I love that Bruno can do everything with his voice, but is such an expert at not over-doing it all the time. It's just so tasteful the way he sings and the video/lyrics of this are hilarious! It was my real introduction to Paak and he is fantastic. Thank you for doing this song!
My absolutely favorite part is when Pak comes in with the:
"Just the other night
she was gripping on me tight
screaming Hercules!!!"
stomp! stomp! (Hercules)
stomp! stomp! (Hercules)
😏You probably decided not to mention it because of the innuendo but how absolutely creative was that?! There are so many ways in music to express making love that we've already seen, from very cleaver to straight up front nasty lyrics to certain rhythyms in the front or in the back but this is IMO, sonicly this is the best I've had the privilege to hear. It's highly suggestive & not just that, it's let's say... describing an enthusiastic final push by the team to cross that finish line for gold✨🏆✨. Yet at the same time it isn't raunchy, over the top or out of sync with the rest of the song.
It is accomplished is such a playful & balanced creative manner that it delivers the point without drawing excessive attention away from the song & story.
Love watching you having fun in you evaluation........................
Bruno Mars is aMayyzing.
thank you for posting this
i enjoy it and it made me happy
came for the vocal analysis, stayed for basically just her fangirling Silk Sonic. love it.
I enjoyed your reaction just as much as the performance. I've seen it several times since it came out, but I enjoy other's response to it. You had me cracking up in the same places I was laughing in the first time I saw the video!
Another great Silk Sonic critique , Elizabeth👏👏👏💕💕💕
Simply fantastic !
You are an angel. thank you for enhancing the already a massive love and appreciation i have for this song through your exquisite mastery of vocal analysis but even more so your pure innocent cherubic childlike joy. bless your cotton socks
I can watch your videos again and again just to see you laughing and enjoying the music!
Your analysis is great. But what's even BETTER is your laugh. Thanks for making my day brighter!!!
Your laughter is everything!
Hi Elizabeth, this is my first time listening to this song, and I loved the performance. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak (Silk Sonic) have great chemistry together, and the choreography and humor in this song was amazing. I especially like how they managed to incorporate the R&B/Soul styles of the '60s & '70s, into a "Soul Train" montage. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
Incredible performance! Storytelling and humor are top-notch. Thank you as well, Kirby! ❤️
I gotta be real here. I don’t normally care for the in depth analysis vids most of the time but I do really enjoy your break downs. Not only are you freaking adorable but the info you share is easy to take in and digest! Thanks for the video! It’s nice to watch other people enjoy what I enjoy. A lot of the reason I like reaction channels. Cheers!
I'm the same, but with Elizabeth's I've found I end up appreciating songs even more once she explains some of the technical aspects of the performance.
You captured everything they did and it was all on purpose. This song is an instant classic!
The live version of this has some awesome alternate vocal run/arrangement choices. Both great.
I love the energy you echo ty!
Your contagious laughing is what I needed tonight. Thank you for that and the great analysis!
I love❤️this duo.
I really love your analysis of this song!!! You made an already fun music video even more enjoyable. ❤🥰❤
Good coverage of such an awesome song.
Oh my gosh! It would be so amazing to have a tea time interview with Anderson and /or Bruno. Bruno is hilarious in his interviews. What a talented young man. Bruno is also a very accomplished musician on the guitar, piano and drums!
This is my favorite song of the week. Made me laugh and the rhythm dancing and harmony was awesome
Well done
Bruno
So so smooth… Best example of 70s (non 70s) music I have ever heard!
I SOO enjoyed your analysis on the song! I can’t help but smile when seeing your reaction to the guys singing. :-)
I was waiting for this one
How many kids are going to stumble upon Marvin Gaye and think "wow, this guy sounds just like Bruno Mars"
Your giggle is so adorable 😍
You've seen so many detailes I missed! Great job!
and its soooo much fun to see you in your reaction! adorable!
The one we’ve all been waiting for
Holy flashback!! This reminds me of the soul singers of the early '70s. Wow! Awesome vocals. Nice...
Amazing reacting and anlysis!! Your laughter is contagious!!! Greetings from Brazil!!!
Loved the song, the singers and your reaction ;)
This reminds me of Earth, Wind and Fire from my youth. Great music back in the day. Before your time Elizabeth.
This channel is a great antidepressant. Keep up the great work Elizabeth!
fantastic album the expression on your face is gold ❤
