Sorsogon, Part 2 Sorsogon City to Bulusan to Matnog

- This is the second leg of the Sorsogon loop which starts at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Sorsogon City through AH26. On the junction of AH26 & Abuyog-Gubat-Ariman Road, we will be taking the latter.
Scheduled stops will be the following:
• Gubat St Anthony De Padua Church
• Barcelona Church of the Nazarene, Bicol’s Oldest Church & Ruins Park
• Bulusan St. James the Greater Parish & Punta Diamante in same grounds & Bulusan lake Park
We’ve dropped by Irosin Public market for some rice cakes then driven straight till end of M.L. Quezon Street, joining AH-26 & turning left to Matnog. There was a long line of trucks at Matnog waiting to be boarded on the RoRo to Allen, Samar during the time of visit.
Bulusan lake Park is about 1.7Km from the main road which is paved but a little narrow for a 2 lane road. Entrance fee is 50 pesos for the vehicle which will be paid at the gate near the lake. Boat rent will be extra & there is a guided hiking tour in the park for a fee if one is interested.
Road condition of Abuyog-Gubat-Ariman Road is near perfect except for some road repairs/ widening with twisties along while AH26 have ongoing road repairs in some segments.

Im from sorsogon but soo sad that for the past 50yrs i did not see my birth place,thanks to this uploader at long last that even in the utube only i remember my hometown.
This iis where my mother was born Sorsogon!! she grew up there and she use tell us about her childhood how beautiful it was. She knew Irosin, Sorsogon like the back of her hand !! I miss her. The roads are all nice Clean and dangerous because of many curves but beautiful.
My father was born in Prieto Diaz but lived in Gubat. His last name is known in both towns(cities now?). Only in these two towns you’ll find that last name back then. There used to be a bishop in Gubat who was the brother of my father’s grandfather. He was very well known they said.
Finally matnog,thank you sir,ang gandang makita yung mga lumang simbahan, what a great trip,looking forward na makapagdrive din ako dyan,maraming salamat boss for giving us advance info,terrain,interesting spot,churches,very informative talaga and nakakatulong.

Last may 2019 nag family road trip at pasyal nadin kami from bataan to legazpi, albay sobrang layo. Bali 16hrs namin tinakbo kasama 3 hrs na pahinga pero sulit dahil talaga palang napakanda ng mt mayon. Gusto ko sanang tumuloy kahit hanggang sa mt bulusan pero sobrang layo na. Now sa pamamagitan ng video mo mula part 1 para nadin ako nakarating ng matnog, sorsogon. Salamat sa video.
Sama ako ulit kahit n nahihilo p ako sarap bumyahe.

Great video. At about 23:30 you passes my daughter and granddaughters house. I’ve traveled that road many times. Also on to Lake Bulusan.

Bulusan to Matnog is barely 40Km po but with nice mountain drive as well:)

I don't know Dmitri personally Sir but it's from him that the idea & concept of road travel videos was adopted. This is with the notion of helping other road trip enthusiasts or first time travelers in planning their next journey :)
