I don't know what mode you're playing on, but she always shoots purple smoke stuff at me all the time...for you it looks like she never does, but that's what does the most damage
People I mean she's just the SECOND BOSS like she spams the same attacks that all you need to do is evade. Most players are probably too heavy wearing every Heavy armor piece in the game, yes the heavier you are the excruciatingly slower you are especially with Strong attack stance. Think of the entire game as if you get hit, you die, and you'll adjust to every engagement with the most effective gear without weight penalty. This boss requires you to have figured out which talismans work to stun or drain her Ki ( try the guardian talisman, just don't miss ), ninjitsu, your weapon of choice and evade tactics. Knowing that guys and gals she's a pushover and you'll wonder why there's even a discussion. When you get higher gear later once you learn each boss tactic and have a decent build you can play them however you want but that same rule will still apply to most, 1-3 hits and game over.

I get fked over by her wirlwind attack every time because I dodge but still get hit Edit: Everyone who is struggling on this boss I urge you to read www.reddit.com/r/Nioh/comments/5u9meg/tips_build_nioh_starter_guide_for_first_build_to/ I went from being buttfucked every time to killing this boss on my 3rd attempt. All I did was level my character from Body and Str 5 to 9. Make sure your Agility in Status is B or better to maximise dodge efficiency.

Its an ability you learn, something to do with Talismans.
