I freaking love my oasis. I bought it last year and it has absolutely changed my life. I have read more in the past year than I have in all of my life.
I absolutely LOVE my Oasis. Bummed they discontinued it in the US. I too have purchased several kindle ereaders over the years and they are all still working great. I use each of them in different situations/places. ☮️
got my oasis 3 in graphite color 32gb yesterday and i love to read manga/comics. i love oasis 3 its a game changer because of the page turner plus the premium feels 😊
I’m also a bit of a kindle collector. I bought the Oasis in 2019 and I also have a Paperwhite Signature and just bought a Scribe. Oasis is still my favorite. The buttons are such a nice feature! I hold kindles with my left hand a lot and have to either stretch my thumb to be able to turn the page on touch screens or use my other hand. With the buttons it’s just a simple click under my finger no matter which way I hold it. I really hope Amazon brings back physical buttons into their line up. Right now the downside I have with my Oasis is the battery life. It does not hold a charge nearly as well as the other kindles. I have to charge it every couple days with heavy use.
I got mine in 2020 and so far I have no issue about the battery. I love this kindle sooooo much… P.s: the kindle paperwhite I got in 2015 still has the latter updates, so I’m that oasis will continue getting updates too.

I bought one the other day too; it's the fifth e-reader I've owned, and now I understand why everyone is a fan! It's so light and the asymmetrical design makes it a joy to hold. Not really minding the so-called "poor" battery life; I don't mind charging mine every other day or so (charging takes only about 40 minutes anyway). Thanks for this review, I feel validated in my purchase. Also I own a graphite version but the champagne gold is so pretty 😍
I’m actually thinking of switching to the Paperwhite from the Oasis because the Oasis is really slippery for me and the ergonomic holder does not work well for my small hands. And as others have said, the battery really never has charged to 100% for me. I hope that Amazon will come out with a new Kindle with buttons because that is the main reason I got the Oasis in the first place to replace my Kindle 3 that I had for forever.
I expect we will see a smaller Scribe as a replacement for Oasis. Not sure how they are going to price it between the scribe and the Paperwhite signature though.
So glad it was helpful! I should have said that you do not need multiple kindles! I’m just crazy! I would suggest getting one that Amazon will continue to update for longer. Not sure how long they will continue to update the oasis!
I bought mine today and the "discontinuation" just pushed me to do it... but also as a left handed person, I don't want to struggle with holding my kindle.
Girl I love reading 📚 I didn't always. I have the kindle fire. But I would rather the feel of a book in my hands. Down side, I'm running out of places to store them on my bookshelf and hubbys wouldn't let me have another 😢
I literally can not understand WHY they discontinued the oasis. I just got a Kobo color bc I wanted the buttons (and color), but I think I'm gonna regret not having kindle unlimited 😭

I got this same kindle oasis and I keep mine in airplane mode. It helps save the battery life so much.
I keep all mine on airplane mode unless I need to sync or download something. It helps battery life immensely!

I’ve heard that about the battery. Hopefully they come up with an oasis-like newer kindle soon!

I did get a kindle oasis recently no regrets I love it. I do agree the software update but I had to get it

I’m getting a kindle scribe. I love notebooks and I have bought plenty of kindles I’m a collector as well.
I really like the scribe but can’t really find a use for it, as I don’t have a desire to annotate my books. But it looks really cool!
