- Five Nights at Freddy's Plus was a franchise icon before it even released. An official remake of the original FNaF 1 game that took the world by storm in 2014, FNaF Plus was seemingly destined for greatness. 3 years later, shortly after the release of FNaF Security Breach RUIN, the game has been cancelled following Phil Morg's removal from the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative. How did such a hyped-up game have such a sudden and bizarre fall from grace? We're answering that question today as we dive into FNaF Plus' shocking cancellation and the recent Phisnom drama.

The amount of potential Fnaf plus had is incalculable. Genuinely so upset is was cancelled.
I don't mean to be rude, but could you elaborate on this?
Same I hate fnaf+’s cancellation
@@idkoctavia a Fnaf 1 remake being developed by someone who’s demonstrated that they are very talented with game development had limitless opportunities and potential.
@@willh0717I definitely wouldn't say limitless, maybe a lot, but imo, i didn't like it too much
it isn't cancelled
Alex was right, the way people behaved after Phil stepped down with all the, posts replied retweets comments etc, was JUST as bad as Phil, it was a disgusting hypocritical mess
The dude LITERALLY asked for death treats so ngl I don't feel bad for him
Why are people defending someone who literally wants to be known as the toxic member of the community? He cultivated his own cesspool.
The fact that he got away with it for so long is already quite impressive.
It doesn't take a singular iq to notice how egotistical he is. I always looked up to playing fnaf +, guess that wont happen because he wont shut his mouth on twitter.
@@mossiest_mossPhil said: If anyone gets death threats it should be me
He tried to be a lightning rod in the situation. Getting attention away from the victim and onto him.
@@creativename2567 It wasn't just Phil: it was his friends too. The people harassing Phil were also harassing his friends, who did nothing wrong in this situation and actually told Phil that he should apologize.
Alax was 100% right: Those users insulting him and Phil were acting just as disgustingly as Phil was, as they purposefully chose to insult and attack other innocent people in the situation. Except unlike Phil, most of them didn't have the guts to give one apology to anyone, sincere or not.
Tbh, I feel bad for Scott about this situation over anyone. He decided to put his own money into the community that loves his games to support their goals and even beyond, but it had only brought drama to the community, between developers who felt cheated for having contracts not given or revoked, and a developer who simply didn't support the series anymore, it's all just disincentivizing Scott, but more importantly ALL developers from doing nice things for their communities. Toxic people make toxic people, and in the end the only people who are punished are the good ones caught in the middle.
The fnaf community has been extremely toxic
@@blakelandry9313 what do you expect when majority of the fanbase are children
Frankly it was a mistake from Scott to try and do what initially was a well intentioned project. the FNAF community already had a very very very bad and toxic history with pedos and some of the worst ppl in internet fandoms. A fandom that has proven several times to not give a fuck about him as the creator and to be willing to Ba Sing Se him from the franchise because of whatever he funds or does not fund, or because he's a shit writer or whatever these people claim.
The sole fact that the project has only brought drama after drama, and tensions are palpable among the devs hired by the project, it's clear to me that it has to be shut down, and those resources are better put directly on the official products of the franchise.
If Scott wants to support the devs of the community, he can do what Valve did and hire them officially, and that way through the usual interviews and background checks, a lot of this bullshit would be avoided. But I just do not think the fanverse as is today is or has proven to be a viable project given the fucking radioactive shithole the FNAF community is.
@@unusuariomas7163100% true
@@unusuariomas7163 preach. Im also kinda mad at phisnom for being an idiot, like how did he not expect constantly pissing off the community to NOT get him tossed from his position? Im mostly mad cause fnaf plus was gonna be a great game, but phisom had to ruin it because he's an immature anti social moron
Every corner of the fnaf community seems so fragile these days, one likely solvable controversy later and three years of waiting on a promising game all for nothing. We genuinely can’t have anything nice because the concepts of forgiveness, fixing the problem, and moving on are completely lost to some of these chronically online people.
don't forget about the pandemic that basically shut everyone in for a good while.
So let me get this straight. This all started because Phisnom had vocalized his distaste for Security Breach's dlc and people chose to fight him for having an opinion that was not popular with the community. Other people went too far and sent Death threats and other shit to people that did not like his takes and those people thought Phisnom defended the actions of other people. Later Phisnom calls out those people and Publicly disowns them and still gets his project canned.
Yeah. I don't even like Phisnom (I think he's an egotistical prick) but I still think the way some people were treating him was unfair, even if he was being rude and joking around too much. And the people celebrating FNAF+ being cancelled are just as bad, if not worse.
You're missing some additional details, such as the fact he put out a "apology" for the actions of his community with the exact same tone as Kane Carter's "apology" to Theft King (a rickroll).
He also made light of the situation and more or less refused to admit any fault in the situation until AFTER his project was canned and he'd caused a shitstorm that only futher tarnished the already damaged reputation of the fanverse
Him disliking Ruin wasn't even the issue, a chatter made a joke about FNAF+ during the stream and got sent death threats by his community, which sparked the issue.
Also, another REAL PROBLEM was Phil character/actitudes, that trash garbage acid hipocrite of him make it even worst, not to mention that he JOCKING and deleted a twit of death threat to the kid, afeter that he quick delete it and made a new one that still is intact LOL@@kamanira
I do think Phisnom didn't really deserve all of that but let's not make him someone that all sunshines and rainbows please? Said stream was still filled with negativity, not only towards the game, which is fine, but towards his fans as well for liking a game. So your comment about his opinion not getting respected? He literally did the same thing with the persons that liked the game, so you can throw that argument out the window. Second, instead of apologizing for behaving like a douche he judt massively trolled people and just added fuel to the fire, which is duch an irresponsible thing to do on the Internet because it NEVER ENDS WELL. Lastly, it took him so much time to adress tye gore sending issues and he first was joking about it, making his statement of disapproval a bit hard to believe. So yeah, he didn't deserve to end up in a situation where he had to cancel his own fangame he has spent literal years making, but at the same time he's out of a community of games he's found less and less enjoyment in. So yeah, it was blown out WAY out of proportions, he's still kind of an asshole for, as you said, not respecting opinions, spitting at the face of his fans like he's above them, and joking about a serious problem he later talk about seriously like nothing.
well said bro, everyone is so fragile in the fnaf community these days. the victim didnt even care lol
I legitimately didn’t know about any of this drama or that fnaf+ was cancelled until I saw this video. I’ve never seen this type of video of yours, but thank you for explaining the situation. It’s a shame that such a promising game is just gone, and this is a terrible way to celebrate FNAF’s birthday. If we really want this community to thrive, we shouldn’t be happy about the cancellation of a project that’s been in the works for this long.
Entirely agreed, wish I could have covered better news today, but I'm glad to help keep everyone updated regardless!

This is probably one of the best takes on the situation.
Yeah sure Phil didn't handle it well but neither did the plenty of other people at fault.
I am glad that out of all people, it was Phil who decided to own up to his own mistakes, admit that he handled things very poorly, and did not decide to put the blame on anyone but himself. Between his video on the matter and this one, I am glad that the community figures - especially the ones involved - are the ones who are trying to treat this with maturity and honesty.
It's just a shame that such a promosing game had to fall under such unfortunate circumstances and fall into a pit of doom.
A... TOXIC pit of doom...
Sorry
This does give a good example on the FNAF community at this point, not saying that everyone is terrible but being this toxic and the victim getting harassed and literally saying no one should be celebrating that this game is gone just because someone doesn't have control over his fans, how stupid are people in this community sometimes.
“Everything is a problem”
The bulk of the fnaf fan base are shitty degen they/them's who thrive off the pain of others. It's a ticking time bomb atp
The game was literally supported by the Fanverse initiative, Scott Cawthon worked on this game. Of course, everyone was wrong, but if Phil was to shut the fock up and stop rambling on twitter, this would've never happened.
True
I think this whole situation probably would’ve happened much differently if he wasn’t using twitter of all sites to discuss his game and mostly his opinion on things.
Phil mentioned himself that FNAF Plus was almost completed, with all the assets finished. Granted, this was a year ago, and I doubt it takes a year to develop ambiance tracks. Nevertheless, all that work seems to have just goten tossed down the drain. I genuinely hope it gets picked up by another developer, maybe even the person who created the unofficial FNAF Plus.
That would be great, but sadly unlikely with how the Fanverse is set up.
Yeah, what a shame and a waste of talent. @@AmbienceOfficial
He was probably trolling he streamed every weekend and tweeted everyday. I highly doubt with college and everything else he even came close to finishing it

Something nobody considers is that people have tried to cancel Phil over false things in the past, so Phil could have thought it was another one of those. But when he found out it was not fake apologized too late. Not guaranteed at all to be what happened, but a possibility nobody considered during this whole ordeal.
I thought about mentioning this directly in the video and did try to hint toward it, yeah. Boy who cried wolf on a whole other level.
The worst part of this for me isn’t FNaF plus being cancelled, it likely would’ve ended up canceled anyway seeing how development went with it. The part that makes me upset with it is that I viewed Phisnom with a pretty decent amount of respect, and while rude at times, I saw him as a pretty good guy. It’s a shame he did what he did, he deserves a second chance, but I just have a lot less respect for him now.

What sucks the most about fnaf plus cancellation is that not only is the game just done. we don’t even know what it could’ve been.
There’s no showcase of all the ideas we don’t know what the full map would look like. We don’t know what the characters mechanics would’ve been and what their jump scares will look like. Also, we never got to see the full design of the plus puppet.
Now we just gotta speculate, which really sucks. We don’t even get what the game we were waiting for 3 years was going to be.
Game is not done though? Kane played the game and said it was not functional and unplayable.
unfortunately with how the way Phisnom tended to present himself online and the persona he took on. it was bound to backfire on him at some point
he definitely could've handled it better so could the fans as well but I hope he reflects on how he chooses to present himself on the internet and just how that can impact his own audience. I wish him the best honestly
I also think it's good that he's not working on it anymore because it started to feel like he was beginning to feel burntout and even possibly resenting FNAF+, I think him no longer having to associate or work on FNAF related things could do wonders for him honestly
@@Jay-uj2er He just started doing more work on FNAF+ as of recently, even sharing some working builds on his dev streams. He just got out of college as of December to start working more on the game.
Fans are toxic when internet anonymity is their shield. Its like how anonymous Tweeters can go after a news host for opinions or behavior. But who is going to go after Esco57432 for his online behavior? Its just an anonymous figure that can change names
his personality was being troll, and that wasnt bad, he was reall nice on streams to his fans, but yes, he handled this situation very badly
Why does HE of all people have to reflect?
He was asked to play the game and after gave an onest opinion.
It's like no one can give their opinion this way,
Personally, I see how phis handled this as a “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” when it comes to his Twitter responses on the situation. I get being a troll is one thing, but to joke over the gore and threats twice? The second time is where he really messed up. You can’t just do that and then expect people to believe your actual apology. I will believe it until proven otherwise, but I’m certainly not gonna be on his side in this debate. This is not to say that I like the peeps harassing him, they can go suck an egg, but I’m not gonna be going out of my way to defend phis’s name.
But also, I hope the community gets better They literally bully people for giving their opinions showing how toxic they are too
I mean considering Phisnom's behavior every since his start, it was only a matter of time for something like this to happen, i mean are we really that surprised? Cause i'm not.
I lost faith once I heard of his opinion on fnaf sb
Honestly, there's a difference between being honest and being rude. But he doesn't deserve to be harassed or doxxed.
He played the same game those punks did using his internet persona, except unlike all those other people who sprayed their venom under the facade of kindness, he actually went the full way with it.
That's also why he managed to stay in the fandom so long without being cast out while obtaining a hefty audience. Because why care about the opinion of a bunch of fakers who are mostly looking for excuses to lash out at others or satisfy their kinks while being dishonest about it?
He reminds me of myself: Someone who will intentionally act arrogant with his public persona to rile up people who can't tell the mask apart from the one wearing it. I learned to play the game, was taught that sincerity will be exploited and turned against me.
So whose fault is it really, the people who wanted a "villain" to defeat so they could play the "hero", or the ones who became "villains" to defend themselves from a public filled with bitter self-serving husks while yearning for the one who could bring mercy to them? Perhaps he found mercy in the people who became loyal to him.

I'm pretty sure Clickteam has ownership over FNAF+ now. If it ever comes out, then it'll be from them. However I have no clue how far along the actual product is along, because it really felt like Phil ,who seemed to always be streaming or tweeting or online, wasn't working on it as much especially towards the end. Its been "almost done" for awhile. Its sad its "gone" but really, I dont feel anything because there wasn't much to see aside from some cosmetic sneak peaks.
well Scott Cawthon owns the copyrights to fnaf+ because he owns the original game and all of the characters from it
This was the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative game I was most excited for. This is really sad. :(
you know what im gonna try that, ill list my favorite things about this franchise to hopefully lighten someones mood
-The hilarious lets players that started this community, Markiplier, Matpat, Dawko, Ambience, all these people add so much creativity to the fandom
-The fan game devs, Emil, Nixon, Kane Carter, Phisnom, these amazingly talented individuals with the passion for the community and their own personal projects
-Scott himself making one of the greatest gaming franchises ever
-The voice actors incredible talent, Kellen Goff being the obvious MVP here with scott designing molten freddy just to bring Goff back
-the memes!!!! must i say more?
-and the long awaited movie coming out in october, the passion coming into the cinematic scene is something that we all wanted
-and finally the stupid as hell but interesting theorys done by Matpat, Fuhnaff and so many other creators that shows that people will go to intense lengths to make sense of this game
-And the idea that originated it all, the uncanny valley from Chipper and co making scott turn a dead project into a horror game, the concept of the lost souls of innocent children seeking revenge as horrifying abominations of agony, and with what little remnant they have within them turning into hatred of wanting their killer dead, and for them to be stuck in a pseudo eternal hell of William constantly coming back to torment them again and again
That's the spirit. Plenty to mourn about this franchise, but also plenty to celebrate.
I love comments like this!
Wait, Molten Freddy was designed specifically to bring Kellen Goff back?
The fandom sure has evolved. Even if some people didn't like the state now as a result of it.
@manbehindthedesk43 May I add Pastra and other content creators who try to put a positive spin on FNAF SB despite it’s bugs as well as FazFriends for pointing out small details in those games we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise? :)
See this is why having a persona solely based off of being an asshole is a bad idea, it’s so important to know when to stop and I can only hope that everyone learns from this. It sucks but this felt like it was always gonna happen.
i know Phis handled the situation badly, but I think it’s great that he realized what was wrong and that he tried to fix it.
I will miss FNaF+.
I'm not sure he really knew how to handle the situation, honestly. Especially considering the person in question was already blocked awhile ago and thus not exactly on his radar until it was brought to his attention. Thus the delay in condemning the actions that were taking place.
Hell, if I had that level of popularity, I'm not sure I'd know how to handle that sort of situation either. I do hope things go far better for all parties involved because fuck, that was a mess.
I won’t miss fnaf plus after hearing what this bitch did
I'll admit, at first, I was pretty pissed. Once Phil finds something he doesn't like about a game, he gets increasingly pessimistic at a fast rate. I hadn't known about the Twitter drama until someone on our server brought it up as I don't use Twitter, and that's really the main issue with all of this. The FNAF Twitter community is just full of people who will stop at absolutely nothing to get what they want. Like that stalker. They'll even go so far as to shit on the victim in order to beat phisnom to a pulp. Even though the victim himself said enough is enough, people did not care about what happened to him and instead focused all fire power on Phil. The cancellation of + being paraded around was honestly super disappointing to see. The fact that the FNAF Twitter community found happiness in the destruction of not just the artist but the art itself. That, that is horrifying. The 1st time I actually paid attention to social media's thoughts about FNAF was SB. At the time, I thought there was some good and bad here and there, but with the release of RUIN. to see this brand new side of the community, gatekeepers. Who will stop at nothing to get what they want and cheer at the mental breakdown of a man not just on Twitter but on his CZcams video, too? People like the stalker. It was a side I had never really seen before and now having seen how much damage they've done to not only Phil but his friends and the victim too. I am lost for words
You really put it well into words. I honestly feel the same about all of this. Although Phil handled this badly- I truly believe he deserves better and can heal in peace.
What’s twitter? I only know X
This situation is very mixed for me. On one hand you have his lack of seriousness on the situation and just in general his character, on the other hand you have everyone else acting like a POS to him and anything he is related to. Situations like this suck because now no matter what side you pick, people always assume you support that side 100% and can’t change your opinion. And this doesn’t even include how his friends think of him and how they didn’t say anything bad about him. It’s just a bad situation all around, the community’s upset at fnaf + cancellation, and in general this whole thing could have been prevented.
I believe he's friends with the other fanverse creators. It's best they keep quiet.
People treated him how he treated others. Act like a POS people will greet you like one
As a fnaf fan who was there at the begining, its sad seeing how the community changed over the years. Me and my sister were really excited for the game to come out, just for it to be cancelled by "fans".
Tbh Fnaf plus's cancellation was inevitable. It's sad that it happened so close to fnaf 1's anniversary tho...
I saw this coming from the start. Almost every time I've heard about an ambitious project like FnaF Plus, there always ends up being a way it gets cancelled.
The casual roasting of everyone who took part in this downfall is the best part of this entire video and I am here for it. You're speaking straight facts here and I couldn't have said it better myself.
I was there during the stream of ruin and when Phil got to the Monty ride just before the catwalks section of the game he completely missed all the lore and everyone was freaking out and wondering if he pre-watched the game since it seemed like he intentionally missed it all according to other chatters, I just left at that point because I was bored.
Basically, his stream was boring?
You can't blame a person when the only thing a game has going for it is the lore. If the game play is that boring and you need to know the history of 6 other games to even attempt understanding it... The game was probably boring. It's really not surprising that some people aren't interested in a glorified walking simulator.

There's always these type of fans. It's inevitable that they'll take a dump whenever a new era starts that goes 180 degrees with a franchise. He's not wrong to like the golden times but it's also impolite to whine about the new direction.
Phil is toxic as a character it was his persona. His apology video was extremely genuine, and I honestly looked past his public persona to look at the person he is. He’s only human, and the people who beat him out for his own opinion, deserve to be removed from the community themselves. Phil can now relate to Scott in this regard with Idol culture ruining communities.

While i agree that the community went too far, using the 'only human' excuse to make phil sound better isn't the route to go, he was being immature and was clearly up his own ass this whole time. He could've avoided all this with a simple white lie saying 'my bad' or even just simply not rickrolling during something genuinely serious
I don't think being toxic and then saying it's his thing or persona is a fair justification, by that logic I can say that being toxic is LTG's persona and he's a great man behind the scenes, and I get it, they might be good people (not LTG as far as I know) but their actions cannot be justified by "it's their thing".

Everything about this situation was sad with how many people just wanted to hop on a wave to create more drama. Yes, Phil could've handled it better, but the way people just jumped like that so suddenly was terrifying. I feel like its easy for Twitter to see a way of people reacting strongly to (x drama, content, etc) and get swept up in it without truly thinking(the example I'm thinking of being the wave of edits of Scott fighting Phil etc) Its something to always be cautious of because we've seen it time and time again on social media.
Thank you for actually relaying the information here. I watched several videos that claimed to "explain" the cancellation of FNAF+ but they beat around the bush and said things like "the situation is touchy so I'm not gonna explain." It makes me happy that smaller youtube creators are doing a better job than the larger ones since this could mean we could see a youtube with to-the-point info. Thanks again man, I'm happy I can trust this channel instead of some British guy who says nothing other than "I was so excited for this game and it's a shame it never came out" without explaining anything. Most videos don't even mention Phisnom!!!
I honestly wonder if Scott regrets making the Fanverse. He initially wanted it to be a nice treat for the fandom, and then this is how they repay him. He should start doing background checks when hiring people as we’ve seen that with Ladyfizz.
First Pear leaked most of Scott’s personal things (iirc), then Jonocrome got exposed as a groomer, then Carter got into some beefs with Theft King and was also caught saying some slurs, and then Phis used his edgey persona at the wrong time that made him look like an ass. At this point I feel like Emil and Nikson are the only people in the Fanverse that generally are probably nice people (tho some of Nikson’s quotes back when he was at one point transphobic surfaced while people joked about Emil killing someone that kinda started to be taken seriously till Emil thankfully condemned it).
Basically this whole thing was one of those F’ around and find out moments. I know Phis stated in his video that he didn’t mean any harm and that the minor did kinda try to profited off from this incident (plus he also stated that the reason why he took on a more toxic persona was so people don’t idolize him and take his words seriously), but he definitely should of handled this better as someone sending minor death threats, r@pe threats, and gore compilations is disgusting and shouldn’t be taken lightly just because you don’t allow minors to communicate with you.
Tho I do definitely do feel sympathy for him as 3+ years of hard work went down the gutter.
really is interesting SEGA and Zun of Touhou manage to pull this idea off well, just sayin'
the fan game stuff, not the drama
I recall back when the fanverse was beginning that it was meant to be a thing that any team could apply for and that the first lineup was to test the waters.
we also know that there have been a few people who almost got into the fanverse but were specifically blocked by scott, hell he had the aftonbuilt devs work for how long just to be rejected AND be blocked from finishing the game?
he already said before that he regrets making fnaf and letting steel wool just get away with how buggy and poorly made their games are is just telling that he'd love for the franchise to tank at this point
It's really sad how awesome and hopeful the Fanverse Initiative was at it's initial announcement, and over the years of it's development it has spawned more controversy and drama than the FNAF franchise had ever seen prior.
Once again Twitter ruins another thing out of no reason other then spite.
Hello ambience, Roy here. I think this is very depressing. I was so excited to play this and I can't believe it's cancelled
While I'm not an active member in the community, I caught wind of this and wanted to know how much of an effect it had on the community that I plan on creating more for in the future (though nothing as grand as the Fanverse,) and I just wanted to thank you for putting this together in a clear, understandable way, and I ESPECIALLY appreciate the response you gave at 13:00 . I have seen so many great things have terrible endings because of this kind of behavior in many communities over the years and this response by far was the best I have ever heard. It dissects precisely what is wrong with a vast majority of (online) communities and I couldn't have put it better myself.
We dont care about nothing phis does on his spare time its his opinion and his life. We dont even know these people in real life and feel threatened by a post. I dont care about no drama i just want a good game. Social media is a disaster. I only have a youtube everything else is irrelevant
So basically bs on the internet involving a dev who had already left the fandom and was only tied to it by a game he was making gets harassed badly and likely quit because of it?
Pretty much
I've personally gone through something similar to what Phil is and I can honestly say that I understand and relate to him. I genuinely feel sorry for him and I hope that he gets out of whatever struggle he is currently going through. It's sad to see that with all that happened, nothing good ever came out of it but a toxic fandom wanting to get public attention and in the end worsening the situation to the point of the cancellation of the game. I hope Phil will feel better
Can't believe what could've been FNaF's best game got cancelled because of some shitposting. 😔
Could not have said this better myself! Honestly your experience was super similar to mine except I am a fan of Phil's and was very caught off guard by the stream and the way he acted on Twitter. I've watch many hours of Phil and it very much felt out of place to me. Regardless I wanted him to take accountability for his actions and I'm very pleased with his video. I'm happy at very least that this whole situation was the thing that made Phil realize he needed serious help. I can not imagine the pain of having something you work on ripped from you like that but I'm happy that, as he described in his video, he feels this weight lifted off of his shoulders after no longer being FNAF+'s developer. That kind of stress must have been unimaginable. I agree with you 100% thanks for the video dude!
In my personal opinion, i think that both sides are 50/50, they both have their faults but have redeeming factors, although i would say phisnom is a little bit more guilty as even tho his entire persona is being an egotistical prick, he doesn have to constantly show that 24/7 especially in a serious situation with literal illegal activity with a minor getting death threated and sent images of dead beings. But i wont souly fault him for that since it was clear he tried to make things right, and thats all that matters
The reason I’m glad he got this drama is cause if your being hated on drop the act of being a toxic prick and try to fix it instead he let it boil and by the time he actually dropped the act it was to late. Realistically it his fault why it ended this way. If he had immediately tried maybe + could have been salvaged
Actually, he quit the job himself, no one fired him.
some people cant belive other people have diffrent opinions
This is a really good perspective on the situation, its a shame this this fandom has now gotten into a never ending loop of drama and toxicity.
And little known fact the song this comes from inside made by the living tombstone really says what the community has become
Not really a never ending loop but ok
My biggest problem with plus is it felt like it was trying too hard to look scary and creepy.
Debatable
I under stand you and him, like I would be kinda mad if I was working in a game that millions of people were waiting for so the anger and stress may have just taken over him he didn’t deserve that, but people should have been less harsh about it :(
AND UNDERRATED!
Dumb people on twitter
It’s sad that fnaf+ was cancelled, but we do have fanmade versions of it at least…
It’s not the same
Imagine how Scott feels seeing this man-child cause all this drama, don't blame him for terminating.
I think you did a great job of explaining everything, and we will all miss fnaf +
I, for one, was looking forward to this game immensely. This entire thing is news to me, and frankly, i only take one thing from it: the internet is a terrible place that is seeping into reality at an alarming rate.
we're doomed, tbh.
Soon nothing fun will be left😞
I was really looking forward to fnaf plus... I still dont want to believe it's never coming out. I want to believe it was close to being finished and we just need someone to do the finishing touches.
And I honestly had this fear in the back of my mind given the attitude Phisnom had towards fnaf.
Technically, it's not 100% entirely officially canceled yet, it's just that all signs point that way. A miracle could come through, but it's likely to be false hope.
Great video I barely knew what was going on during the drama tried to avoid it. Comprehensive and well made
Like many, I had no idea about this situation before stumbling onto your video. Thank you for a clear and objective overview of events, and I must say I 100% agree with your personal take, too.
One of few things harder than accepting one's faults is finding a flaw with this video. I can't find any. Great job!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it’s the genuine unprofessionalism of how outspoken Phisnom was about SB and Ruin that seemed strange to me. You’ll never hear an actor disparage their own movie no matter how shit because it’s unprofessional. I only work retail but I was still told that I couldn’t speak badly on the company I work for publicly. I think Phisnom is well within his right to dislike SB and Ruin I just think it was weird to short himself in the foot like that an disparage the company he was currently working for
Unprofessional? What you want him to fake his personality and opinions like dawko and others? Smh want him to be jolly like a robot all the time?
Lets be honest. Ruin improves on the base game that isn't great and then feels uncooked as its own ideas build up to 3 mediocre endings.
@@StopShoutinImNappinI met Dawko and MCM Comic con and he was the exact same as he is on camera. He’s liked fnaf since the original. Maybe it’s hard for you to understand but some people are generally happy and positive.
@nickname_donkey4456 your a sheep. Ofcourse they will put on a face at comic con. Grow out of your fantasy mind your a child. he isnt a genuine guy its unnatural the way they behave.
@@nickname_donkey4456 Ofcourse they will put on a face at comic con. Its unnatural the way they behave my friend
No! No please! NO 😢😭

This video, and this channel need more support! Keep up the good work!
Why almost 100% complete making the game only to then delete it 😭
Well, it's not deleted necessarily, it'll just never be developed further at least by Phil. It is really bad timing though.
@@AmbienceOfficial I commented this before watching the vid until the end lol i know now but still thx c:
Who do I think is wrong, Phil or the people celebrating +’s cancellation? I think they’re BOTH wrong. I’ve seen some people say things like ‘Phil did nothing wrong’, but, and I know this sounds weird, he had it coming to him in a way for his generally appalling behaviour. Much as I don’t like Phil and his asshole persona, his friends did nothing to deserve this, and the game’s cancellation isn’t anything to celebrate. Just putting my thoughts out there, I often see people on one extreme or the other in situations like this
TBH, even when both are wrong, one side can still be more wrong. It's not a mirror-binary situration where either side only has two states.
This all sucks, it’s truthfully horrible, I hate that this seemingly perfect recreation of fnaf1 is no longer going to be a thing, it was the only reason I played fnaf1, I hate to see it go.
I watched part of Phil's Ruin stream but left when it started getting super negative. Next thing I saw was his video on the situation as I'm not really in the fandom on Twitter. It's a sad situation all around, but I hope Phil is able to get the help he needs and that all the other people calm tf down.
I was really looking forward to this game for the longest time only to get the news now that it’s been cancelled because of stupid drama that later lead to it getting worse and worse by the moment. It’s just really sad that this happened, hoping for a really good FNAF Remake just for it to be thrown in the trash. But I do appreciate this video so we could know fully about the situation better
Its a shame that chompers one of the fangames i was looking forward to was cancelled and now fnaf plus could be.
That one comment saying "Twitter at its finest" is so true. That site is so fucking toxic and the smallest thing can become a giant situation.
I rarely watch smaller channels, much less fnaf channels as I am tangentially interested based on interest when i was young and it came out.
I was pleasently surprised by the quality of your videos. You have the rare charisma and vocal presentation alot of small creators lack. Subscribing to see what else you produce, I can see great things coming to your channel if you keep it up
broo nah all he had to say was 'ok guys cool it on the harrassment' and hed still be in 😭😭😭
i was against phisnom, but after phisnom made his response video, i saw that we took it to far. i want this community to be a loving and great place
It never will be, run.
You reap what you sow.
@@user-je3mk3fj5hnot really positive stuff can still come up in the community
I enjoy your drama videos due to how sincere you handle the topics

Phil always seemed a bit volatile, and those around him more-so. This situation doesn’t surprise me, but it sure does disappoint me. It seems like such a task shouldn’t have been taken up by someone such as Phil, because the only news I’ve seen (and reports of his interactions) has been negative. The Fandom, albeit a bit feral, is still manageable for people of the right quality.
And for me, the only way he’s effected me at all is the fact that he got me interested in a Fan game for the first time in years. Then after that he didn’t put out any meaningful updates, delayed it, led us on for another year, and then cancels it. Almost every single hiccup this game encountered was because of his interactions with the public. So from my experience with him, I was never a huge fan and have always remained in watching distance exclusively. Not a huge loss, but certainly a loss to take into account. I would’ve loved to see the finished result despite who Phil is as a person or what his opinions are.
This was an eye for an eye scenario, and I’m almost glad that Fnaf’s lows can finally go back to coming from the franchise itself and not bickering adults on the internet. I wish the best for those who remain in the fan-verse and am still anticipating their games as much as I have since they were announced!
ngl Im not surprised this happened. He was always finding up to what the fandom could put up with. I guess he found out.
With how toxic the FNAF community has been this is deserved. If they can't be good people they don't deserve good games.
Agreed
Finally someone said it.
I never really knew of FNaF Plus besides overhearing some people talk about it on Fangame videos, but understanding the video, your “personal thoughts/experiences” are like really good. You’re not excusing him particularly but also explaining why his friends won’t leave. Twitter is a hellhole entirely and while I do also believe, he shouldn’t have done that, he did start to be actually serious and apologize but if people were still being well frankly dicks, that’s their fault not his.
14:58 God damn Ambience I wasn't expecting you to turn the heat up so high 😭
love your content dude ! first unbiased fnaf youtuber i’ve watched in a while !
Genuine question, would he have taken it seriously if DirectDoggo didn’t set him straight? Cuz obvi idk Phil (nor have I ever heard of him until now. I only knew fnaf+ was a thing), n Ik you said he’s friends with great ppl who supported him, but to an unbiased outside look it doesn’t seem like he was ever gonna take it seriously. Cuz if he was actually genuinely disappointed at his community, why joke about it in the first place? I’m not rootin in his downfall, however at the same time I can’t rlly feel bad for him too much either.
If anything this is a great reminder that online actions can have real world consequences. Very unfortunate that FNAF+ is collateral damage in all this.
I think he eventually would have, but it's hard to say. Due to Phil's past on the internet, he's hesitant to take controversies like this seriously or put much stock in what strangers say, which is a massive flaw obviously even as much as it helps him function. This is part of why I focus so much on Phil's friends in this video, because one of them would have set him straight on this despite them getting caught in the crossfire. They're the best part of him.
@@AmbienceOfficial He’s very lucky to have level headed supportive friends that can set him in the right path. Even if he would’ve eventually addressed it, who knows how long that would’ve been without direct doggo. I do believe he’s learned from this, n I wish him well in his future endeavors. Despite everything, he didn’t deserve to be harassed, or have his stalker take advantage of the situation. That’s very tragic. Hopefully when he starts his new projects he actually enjoys it instead of forcing himself into something he wasn’t rlly passionate about (if anything, this might’ve been the opportunity he was waiting for so he can opt out of the fnaf community).
Man its a big shame that so many FNaF fangames in general were canceled (Chompers, Aftonbuilt, and well, FNaF+) because they had SOOO much potential. A real shame
Great coverage. Sad on the project. And the drama is just insane.
I’m not even surprised this is happening with the zero updates we got on this game plus with how Phisnom has been acting. I have a feeling almost everything from Fnaf Fanverse Initiative will get cancelled since it’s been years and devs have been going through a lot, whether in physical life or through controversies. Which sucks…but oh well
It’s kind of dumb bec people effectively blamed Phil for what his fans did like he’s rallying them to do it or something. I’m getting real tired of people thinking the world is ganging up to get them and making people take the blame and consequences for something one of their fans did
Everyone needs a escape goat and Phill drew a bad straw.
I knew something was up when they removed Phiznom's name from the CZcams and Steam Pages...
Thanks for bringing light to this, im genuinely sad we won't get to play this great fan remake...
I am so glad this video exist. I was so confused when I saw fnaf+ got cancelled and tried to find a reason behind it but there is so many misinformation, opinionated facts that I have no idea what’s happening.
I think yours is one of the best takes out there. With facts lined up at first. Thank you sir.
What I'm seeing is that, Phil did nothing. Not to even try and stop the, down right evil people in his community. When he did it was all ready too late. Phil himself isn't a necessarily bad guy he did nothing wrong, but he should have removed the tumor that was the bad part of his community
He's not responsible for the actions of other adults. The most he could do is tell them to stop. They made their decisions. And to hold them against him for not freaking out is ridiculous.
The fnaf community canceling fangames over the most basic levels of drama. A bunch of adult children on twitter ruin ing good things for everyone else
please someone explain me how is twitter a magnet for all of the toxic and trash people on the internet
@thatchannel3032 Well all start when Tumblr collapse so many years ago...
@@thatchannel3032After Tumblr got less chaotic and toxic the access toxic chaos energy found home on Twitter which soon corrupted too it's core turning it vile with very little place for decency.
@kwayneboy1524 to be honest as much as twitter(now named fucking X. I guess every twitter user can say they watch xvideos now lol.) Is a hated platform. We should be thankful we have stuff like twitter and reddit cuz they keep all of the pedos and crap people in one place
I agree with basically everything you said in this video I think you presented this really well.
I’ve been a part of this fandom since the first game which was revolutionary in the indie horror scene, FNAF plus really felt like it had the potential to bring that energy back, between the quality of the teasers and models to the mechanics we saw themselves, it sucks that such a promising game had such an awkward fumble of a situation take it down.
imo, these chronically online twitter warriors are worse then Phil, sure, Phil is a troll, but i mean, its the internet, these chronically online idiots just going on and on and whining like children are way worse, idk Phil personally, so i will not make judgements on his character, but i dont think what he did deserved this
Anyone who has Twitter has something wrong with them at this point.
I hope that the other FNaC, Popgoes, and TJOC stuff is coming at least. That getting canceled too would be very sad for the fnaf community.
They seem to be on track! All three are making progress and I seriously doubt they have any chance of being cancelled.
@AmbienceOfficial Well, this is good news! Since they've been taking a while I had my doubts that they weren't coming but if they're on track then I guess it's still going to happen. I'm looking forward to tjoc most of all.
Good takes only from Ambiance. Thanks for reporting on this situation, I would have never known otherwise
Wow, once again I am completely oblivious and had absolutely no idea that this was going on because I stay as far away from twitter as possible
No fan base is perfect but I still feel like the FNAF community deserves better than this. Chompers and FNAF+ are both cases of golden opportunities squandered because of bad decision making.
I hadn't heard about this whole drama and now ur telling me that in less than a month some crybabies on Twitter cancelled Phil for giving his honest opinion on a game WTF.
Nobody on twitter can take anything bruh
Nobody in this gen can take anything there the worst
