With black homicide clearance usually being in the 20% range. This is extremely low and absolutely insane. Especially given chicago is the 2nd largest police department. And there is no city in the country where criminals self snitch more. Chicago has pioneered self snitching. Its literally evidence everywhere. But yet they cant solve homicides? Really? And Chicago criminals feel invincible even more because of this. They dont know how it is at all to actually encounter serious and effective law enforcement. So in Chicago, you can do whatever. Doesnt matter. So people feel like its all fine. Whethere filming themselves shooting guns or whatever. Chicago crime is mainly high because the law enforcement allows it. Pretty much almost hit everything on the head, but missing a few reasons. The other reasons why crime don’t get solved is because it’s expensive to investigate a gang member that might get smoked a year later anyway, also there are too many people that act and dress like alike and live in congested areas for them to confidently say someone commited a crime so they are usually right about the gang but often get the wrong member, then there is a heavy anti cpd agenda right now that makes it hard for them to do their job, and last the sa Kim fox refuses to put anybody behinds bars and same with the governor as they just made a “safety act”. Overall it’s politics corruption, and culture which is the cause of all this chaos, also look into the redlining practices
