Hi Marek! Loved watching this video, my Dad was born in Knowles Farm (next to St. Catherine’s Lighthouse) and his younger brother, my Uncle Charlie, is the Charlie Peach who worked on re-opening the Niton Tunnels. Gave me a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye when you mentioned him. He was a great man with a wicked sense of humour and he is very greatly missed by all who knew him. Thanks again x

Just rewatched this video. My mum was born and brought up in Niton she used to go on many of those walks with my grandparents. The end of the footpath comes out by the side of the bungalows where my Nan and Grandad used to live, Also my Mum used to go to school with one of the light keeper’s daughter so has actually been inside.

That looked like a great walk with such amazing views. The tunnels looked really cool too. That steep bit that you hated really reminded me of North Hill in Minehead. Years and years ago I worked at The Butlins there and me and the lad I was going out with at the time did the North Hill walk. It's totally fine when you're going up but when you have to come down the other side it is so hairy. I went down on my arse so that I didn't fall. It's a gorgeous walk though. 🙂

Hahaha "Jean couldn't handle it anymore so she went off to play on the fruit machines". I guess everyone needs a coping strategy. In terms of fears, I've never been scared of real spiders but when I was a kid there was a room in the Crystal Maze that was an automatic lock-in that had a massive fake spider in it that scared the shit out of me. They had one like it (maybe even the same prop, dusted off) on a recent series of Taskmaster and it was still just as scary.

That walk looked a little bit precarious in places and definitely wouldn't want to do it if I was a vertigo sufferer. It was a shame that you did the walk so early in the day as I was looking forward to seeing what sandwich you were going to have for lunch.

I did edit out my lunch part as it was just ham and mustard rolls. I will start putting them in again. Maybe I will have frogs legs next time.

@@SeanS102 Yeah, for a creature that is 75% water I find them absolutely vile. My pet cat used to catch them in the garden and then let them loose in the house which was tiresome.

I remember in school assembly when the teachers were asking about who was responsible for breaking something or some sort of vandalism I would automatically start blushing even though it had nothing to do with me. Then I'd get really paranoid that the teachers would see me going red and think it was me, which made me go even redder. I don't know what this is called some sort of not-guilty automatic guilt syndrome.
