I bought one during an online sale. This device provides a unique method for manual tuning, which I find to be more effective than the PL-330 and other similar devices. However, the absence of LW is not ideal. I recommend choosing the smaller radios with automatic tuning modes. They may cost a little more, but they are worth it.

I just buy this radio because of your review and for the better, more easier to read scale as in operation is very similar to de D-219 but with a better speaker, Bluetooth and audio files reproduction. It allows to insert MicroSD card completely, as some units that I have protrude and it can be damaged if the unit get dropped on this side. It have low noise reception, but as you said, a very weird tuning. I use it also as my phone speaker when listening to a radio stations app that plays those around the world, as it works as if I listen to an actual station in the radio. I like it very much. I bought this radio a couple of months ago, mine had a serious issue with signal overloading, almost imposible to tune a station on AM band. I returned it. Thank you for the review and all the info.
Giles is right, It will catch the major shortwave stations in North America, But it's not going to get you stations around the world, The performance of am-fm stereo and USB to put your jump drive is very cost-effective for the features and price. Got mine on eBay from Australia at $17:50 each x 2- I use this radio to walk in the park- My more expensive tecsun is for the bedroom
Be careful with the volume control on the Prunus J-401 as it is prone to breaking as the black wheel can snap off! I have had 2 J-401s with broken volume control wheels!
Just got mine and I'm not impressed. Sitting a Tecsun 360 next to it finds more signals and clearer than the XHdata 368. Deciding if I want to return it. Otherwise it sounds great and is awesome for the price and size.
I love it because of the small size and a BEAUTIFUL!! sound from such a small speaker!

Did you try using a wire also? I've heard it becomes super sensitive once you attach a long wire to the radio antenna.
It isn't a great receivers, but for $25, you get what you pay for.
And what receiver is better for $25?
What are its cons? Compared to better Radios?
I’ve heard it has FM & MP3 stereo through the earphones which is a huge plus, but that it has 9K AM stepping: could you confirm that?
