Let's talk about the new shop and what to buy!
Quick maths:
500 Gems to downgrade an SS+ fighter nets you 648 Soul Cores.
General Store costs 200 Gems for 10 Soul Cores.
You also might want to consider only building up to SS instead of SS+ when downgrading fighters, since it nets you more substitute coins at the cost of more gems. For example if you have 540 B grades, that amounts into 5 SS salvages or 3 SS+ salvages, which is 48,600 coins vs 38,880 coins at the cost of 2,500 gems vs 1,500 gems. Is 1,000 gems worth the extra 9,720 coins? For Soul Cores absolutely yes!

It's 750 gems for 30 soul cores.
I dismantle ss+ Fighers for 144 faction cards. Then sell then cards and then get soul cores
