Consent is important for both genders
In Australia marital rape is a crime. Consent of both parties is important whether married or not married. It strengthens the marriage/relationship when there is mutual consent. If one party isn't consenting then obviously there is an issue which needs to be resolved by the parties. Marriage doesn't give one party right to do whatever they wish against the consent of the other party. This is not marriage, it defeats the purpose of marriage which should be based on mutual love and respect for each other.
