Spurs fan here and even though the loses have been stacking up this season the games have been fun to watch when Wemby is on the court! The last 5 games or so they have been starting to figure it out. They just need to go hard the whole game and then let the organization add a few pieces. They will be a good team in a year or two. Loved your reaction to seeing Wemby! I have not gotten the chance to see him in person, but plan to soon.
Wemby is completely different, he looks like a bird on the floor, you can't compare him to other players. We're talking about Chat, who isn't a real rookie, he's a good player, but a normal guy, almost boring, but nothing like Victor, who is a spectacle in his own right.

Jan 24, 2024 - Not expecting a win since OKC (SGA) is on a tear, Wemby is still on minute restriction, and well, let's face it...we're 8-35. Still, haven't been this pumped to see my Spurs since our championship era GSG!!!
Thanks for your more than fair and objective thoughts. There are a lot of fans who are condemning Pops, but outside of his politics, Pops is Morpheus of Basketball.Wemby and Popvich are destiny, Pops will make it to WCF before he retires then Mitch Johnson (asst coach) will finish the job.
You think Mitch will be Popovich successor? That actually sounds pretty legit my guy, I wondered who would be the one to takeover once Pop is gone but Mitch never crossed my mind. He is young to so hopefully Pop grooms him into a pretty solid coach and win championships with Wemby.

Mitch just has a leader aura about him, not by looks (cause he looks 17), I'm jealous....but it's his confidence and his ability to articulate that makes me a believer, but not yet. Let Pops go out swinging with a ESTABLISHED,DEVELOPED squad, Pops will make the doubters look like fools mark my words.

I hope pop get at least one or two more rings before his contract is over which I assume he will retire after that. Wemby will be well developed in the league by then.
He needs to shoot as many 3's right now to get better, especially since these games don't count. Shootem during every situation in the game, especially the end of the games, so he can be numb to the end games or winning situations. It'll open up his inside game. I would like see him shooting 3's around 45/50% nothing but practice.

He scored all those 26 points in the second half so basically, he scored that in 14 minutes.

Wemby is one of the only players keeping me interested in the regular season. Guy is incredible.
