I do love seeing him sing with different artists. And you’re right something about this song just flows so well💞. Hu Mengzhou is an EDM artiste. So this was very different for him. Poor guy😂💕. He did really well though👍🏼. Shen Shen as always was amazing❣️ I could loop the Swan Lake bit forever 😋.
Originally, it is a theme music of the TV series "The Reset" in China, in which Zhou Shen also sang end-of-show song "My Only" (Also an amazing song). Some on-line musician just added in the lyrics only recently. Zhou Shen found it good and so have it covered here with Wu (the co-singer).
A young couple were fallen into a re-loop of a "planned terrorist bombing tragedy on a public bus".
The couple were 'investigating' on who had planted the bomb, the motive behind and tried to rescue all passengers on board.
Every time, the loop was reset when they failed and the bomb exploded at a specific time.
Eventually, after many re-loops, they managed to solve the mystery, prevented the explosion, and save everyone.
The song tells the mixed feeling of the couple while going through this pains:
Should they just got out of the bus before it exploded and forgot about saving the others?
It describes how they struggled with their decision and gathered: 1. courage to overcome fear and uncertainty of the outcome; and 2 determination in solving the puzzle.
Eventually, they save not only the passengers but also the "terrorists".
Clip of the music "Swam Lake" was included in the song as the 'white swam' overcome the curse of the 'black swan' emerging as the heroes/winner. This is similar to the encounter of the couple in the drama.
After the song, Wu was relieved to be able to complete the performance without error. Wu is a well known composer. While everyone expected the rearrangement of the song was mainly contributed by Wu, he confessed that 50% were contributed by Zhou Shen.

Btw, the other participants were giving very good comments, Hu is very talented, Zhou Shen explained the idea behind the song. And Hu mentioned that Zhou Shen is the main producer of this song.

You have 5 judges on the left and 5 resident singers on the right which Zhou Shen is 1 of and then they bring in 2 singers at a time and they sing a song and then those 2 say who they would like to sing with out of the resident singers. they have to agree on the same singer and then the resident singers decide if they want to sing with them, any of the resident singers can choose to sing with them, some time they do and some times they don't. One time Zhou Shen wanted to sing with one of them and no one else wanted to sing with her and she said no to sing with Zhou Shen so she went home not singing and Zhou Shen didn't sing that week. At the end of the show they -pick a winner for that show. They have different visiting singers every 3 shows. Zhou Shen and his partner at the time has won it 4/5 times, he won the 1st, 3rd, 6th and the last show he and Angela won the grand final. He sang with all but one of the resident singers.
Best line I've heard in weeks- don't try to understand it, just sit back & enjoy it! One my favorites of his + Big Fish.
After the 1st time hearing him sing, I have been obsessed in finding more about this mystical voice. The talent is like from another sphere or something.
My ears can only compare him to Dimash, but these 2 are still different. Dimash's style is controlled & very well trained. It is truly beautiful - but you can tangibly feel Zhou's emotions coming out of his being with each song ( it's like he is radiating something) + the natural talent he's been given- it's not a wonder he isn't a global star already. But give it time...
Next to react is he and Angela Zhang in the last episode to sing 'Journey to the flower'
They're not so much being judged at the end. This show is for professional singers, and each time a group completes a performance, the other singers will give their reactions (which is usually to point out parts they really liked or found interesting). There's also a group of professional critics, who also make some commentary (Though it seems like their parts don't get shown as much. Their feedback is honestly more relevant to the actual performers than to the audience.)

"Under Investigation" is the literal translation of the chinese title, so you're not incorrect :).
It's one of the track from the Reset (TV drama - story revolves around two protagonists who are stuck in sort of a Groundhog Day loop over and over ) OST.
