    Is it possible to lock the flap in some way? With a small lock for example.

    Is there anything to prevent these bags from sliding back and forward on the seat? Do they get locked in place by securing them to the frame?

    Hey guys. I ordered my DUO 36 bags form you & received them today. Have to say, I love them... thing is, the straps to fit them over my seat aren't long enough. I'm trying to outfit them to my BMW F650GS Twin, & they are about 30cm too short so they don't rest comfortably over my back bars (from Touratech). I can't be the only person with this issue. I know for a fact they won't fit over my husbands R1200GS either, & I'm about 90% sure they wouldn't have fit over the back of his old KTM990R. Great bags, but this is a little frustrating. Do they make a longer set of straps you can order? I thought I would bypass this issue by using the single bag mounting system on each bag & just avoid having them go over the seat, but there's only enough equipment to mount one bag at a time. Have you had people complain about this before? What's the solution?

      The Kriega Saddlebags are ideally suited for modern retro, classic, or naked bikes, which tend to have narrower pillions and racks. You may be able to use the Kriega OS-Straps to widen your Duo Saddlebags, which should be coming into stock soon. Alternately, you may want to consider the Overlander-S OS-18 Drypacks, which can be mounted individually to each side rack or made into throw over bags with those OS-Straps I mentioned. -DrewZilla

      That doesn't really help me now though. I've already received them & have a trip this week. Nowhere on the RevZilla or Kriega website does it say the length of the straps, therefore until someone receives them it's impossible to know that they won't sit properly. So the only solution you're saying is to wait until additional straps are available to purchase, or return them.... well crap

      If the Duo Bags come with two shoulder straps, perhaps using the shoulder straps to join the bags might work. The webbing and attachment buckles appear to be the same, and the shoulder straps are pretty long with good adjustability. If the bags only came with one shoulder strap, this might not work. Though we do show the bags mounted on a few bikes in the product photos and video review, you're right that we did not list the specific length of the straps. I do apologize for that inconvenience. -DrewZilla

      Hi Bikes & Baking ..
      Frankly, I'm surprised by this level of customer service!!
      Here's some info from me ... pro bono!
      1: Some contact info for Kreiga
      Kriega is owned and operated by Generator NPD Ltd.
      Registered office:

      2: If you still don't get any joy ....
      You can sometimes find similar material utilised in the
      worlds of Sailing, and Climbing - unless you're particularly
      talented, it might not be a DIY job** - but if you can find the
      right material / similar to the OEM belting .... a good
      craftsperson should be able to match the original item,
      adding some length, so that it's fit for your purpose.
      (**i.e. it might not be that difficult to get a needle through,
      but you'll want it to be A: neat, and B: strong)
      I've come across this sort of half assed customer service
      time again, sadly. You'd think, given the state of the global
      economy, retailers would put as much effort into their
      customer service, as they do their jazzy sales videos .......

    Theres a lock at 4:21. Can you tell me more about that? And how its locking the saddlebags?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 5 lety +1

      That's actually a separate carabiner lock, usually for locking a helmet or locking a jacket by running a cable through the sleeve. You could use it on the saddlebags by running the carabiner through the passenger seat strap and then through the strap or a loop on the bags. In this case, I don't think they were actually using it to secure the saddlebags. -DrewZilla

    Will the 36 litre fit the Ducati monster 797 using sw-motech SLC mount? Also will a pillion fit on the back with this setup or is it better going for the 28 litre bags?

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 6 lety

      While these are not designed to attach directly to SW-Motech's SLC Side Carrier, the SLC Side Carriers can be used to support the Kriega Duo Saddlebags. Additionally, yes, you can fit a pillion on the back with both the 28L and 36L bags. However, comfort depends on your passenger. -DrewZilla
