I even moved my family from Vermont to Texas, Round Rock (right outside of Austin) to play with better musicians. Eventually to make more then “your getting publicity” coupled with the typical “here’s your two free drink tickets & here are the items on the menu you can order that are covered.” I was very fortunate to have played with those that I did. And, I could work for my money. And love my work. Music! So, Billy & Company...I love these guys, as a musician. There’s nothing like being surrounded by so many people’s energies all caught up in those golden strands of music, all around you...you know where every other musician is going to go...before they go there...and they know you. Having never met but only on stage one time. I hope these guys keep on filling me & so many others with goodness. Be well all!

Steven, I am smelling what you're stepping in! I read a comment months ago that said "This kid could be bigger than Johnny Cash" I think he's next best thing, it's just that bluegrass doesn't have a huge demographic historically, but it's growing!
Never been into folk or bluegrass music. But, Christ is this kid captivating. I've never heard of him. You can tell he's got a super old soul. I will have to check more of him out. Incredible performance.

For someone who is capable of producing some of the hottest licks on the guitar today lts nice to see Billy showing a more laid back style letting the song speak. What a master performer he is Kieth and Mick will be well pleased .

Disagree strongly. This here is like many other terrible covers of this very special song: overdone, a sentimental whine spiraling nowhere but into bo-hoo-land. That Banjo solo is plain awful, even for a Banjo solo.

The whole band is phenomenal. I was fortunate enough to see them at Mars hall in Huntsville ALA, from the first note to the last it was like they played with the same heartbeat. 1/23/20 was one of the best nights of my life. IF you want to shine, and show your stuff....amaze me with your own creativity and quit trying to make a name for yourself off other peoples hard work and success. You got talent kid, but you wont gain me as a fan, nor will any other artist, by simpply doing covers. Nice effort, tho I didnt care for it myself, it doesnt fit the style, for me. Johnny, I'd say that you shouldn't judge the artist by just one video or song. Like many artists, Billy's shows include covers and originals. The originals are very good. The covers are usually very solid as well, and mostly serve as a tribute to the songwriter. I think Billy is very mindful about turning on his young audience to the older generation of bluegrass artists, which is a good thing for the genre!
Dude... Artists cover songs all the time. You DO realize that the Stone's first few albums consisted of entirely cover songs right? They started off as a cover band.
