So so what I got from this was that they justify abuse with another example of abuse? Lol
Actually they showed once or twice Cathy's collection of bunnies. She even showed the one she thought looked like Abyy. And since I was rewatching old episodes, it wasn't Abby who said Ava looked like a praying mantis, it was Kyra in the confetional.
It doesn't sound as if Jeff has ever watched the show? How could he be (or even pretend to be) so completely uninformed about events that not only aired but caused controversy. Hard to believe that if a segment of an episode got a LOT of feedback/critcism that he wouldn't at least want to see that footage?

Holly Frazier is the best and smartest mom on the show , she raised an amazing and talented daughter. Since the beginning she stood up for all of the other kids. Nia was/is always happy for her friends when they are/were in the spotlight . And now that Nia is becoming A NEW AMAZING POPSTAR they don't include nia in most of the things that they do. I wil always support Nia and I can't wait to see her reach her goal in life. (like going on the Frazier tour and making her own movie etc.) I hope my English is good . I love afterbuzz better than Dance moms itself because I can't stand Abby's behaviour sometimes. Love from Holland
+Annie Carrillo well she has magazines, music blogs, 2 MTV hosts, radio hosts, celbs and famous CZcamsrs posting about her and her music on twitter and following her soooo it's obvious she is on her way.

I slightly disappointed they didn't talk more about Abby's comments about it being time for something new. Understandable due to Jeff being there, it was obvious they weren't allowed to talk about everything. I don't think Abby would just leave. She's to much of a smart business woman to let this go. And bringing new girls in is not an option. The audience wants to see these girls. I'm thinking because we have seen Nia and Kalani compete in the teen category this season and getting reasonable good scores, we're going to see to see a senior elite dance team being formed.
As for a spin-off I'd love to see a show about Chloe.

Sorry - this is the most critical thing I've ever posted in public media - but I don't know how to contact the producers that select the hosts directly so here goes -- I was only listening on audio. but one of the women kept asking Jeff the most inane questions ever - "is abbey happy?.... Is she taking on too much? Melissa's a supportive mom, right?" What do you expect this man to say that will be interesting and honest? He produces a tv show -- take advantage of the opportunity and ask him questions only he or the show runner could answer -- 1) How do you arrange the competitions (since they can't participate in regular ones) 2) Why wasn't it included or at least mentioned that Kalani competed in the finals? 3) was there a blow up when only a couple of girls were invited to Australia and how did you handle it? Was it because the show was taping that JoJo and Nia were included? My point is, we speculate on behind the scenes stuff all the time and one of the hosts wasn't smart enough to use the time to help get us answers. (the other host and Tony were great ) The aftershow is only as good as the hosts.

I thought this re-clap was the perfect ending to the season. I love how you guys bring in different people from the show to get us the inside scoop. I was a little disappointed that "Slay" was overlooked. Other than that I loved the show. I hope you all will come back for next season!

This reunion was terrible. It really showcased how jealous Abby is of all the moms, however. They all have husbands (or soon to be husbands) and children who love them while Abby has never had a husband or children and it has clearly taken a toll on her. She makes so many remarks about "well you're a bad mom blah blah" or "your dad doesn't make enough money" and it's sickening.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious Leila... The point is so much of what Abby does or says can't be explained away with editing or the "it's just a show" excuse.
Anna J. That's just it. They aren't excuses. What Abby does or say can't be explained simply because you are seeing what they want to show you. They aren't showing the raw footage. What lead to what, etc. The point of the show is to dramatize it for impact.
Don't Worry Be Happy
Of course they want to dramatize it but there are things that come out of Abby's mouth that should never be said regardless of the situation. The same can be said for a lot of the moms as well.
Anna J. Abby is a blunt person. She doesn't sugarcoat her opinion. She goes for impact. It made her famous. She probably doesn't even realize how some people can see her comments as hurtful, outrageous, etc.. It's doubtful she would change what made her a brand.

For a producer, he certainly claims to not know a lot. As with Tony, I call BS.
I usually like the show but I feel like you guys just glossed over the important(fun) stuff from the reunion. This was definitely the most boring reclap this season.
I thought Melissa was absolutely horrible after she was like it's just the same as when I said Joni should have beat Mackenzie does she ever support her daughter
Thank you Christy Candice JJ and Tony for a fanastic season. I know it was a long time at times but it was a fun one. You guys did a great job of breaking down each episode. I think Jeffs point of us being mad at Dance Moms show was a bit much. We know about the girls and how they can be. We were mad at Miss Abby being a bitch and doing anything she wants to win. I think she depended on the show at times to make her undefeated. When Jeanette beat her, that was the straw that broke the camels back. It looks like with the girls about to enter the teenage years, she need a new junior elite team. Chloe beat Maddie for Favorite Teen Dancer Female at the Teen Choice Awards. Abby was pissed that Holly was working with the right people to make Nia a star. I think Jeff wants the benjamins from the girls success. Kira called him out 3 or 4 episodes ago when she said the girls did so much that they should be set for life. If anybody is set for life, its Maddie cause Melissa souled her soul to the devil to make her a star. Christy JJ and Tony have other shows they do in the mean time if we want to see them at Afterbuzz until probably January or February when season 6 is back. One more thing, I think that wedding proposal was just for the show. I think Kira said yes back in Sydney.
Joseph Boza Kira probably knew the proposal was coming right, even so I did feel like she showed genuine emotion. I cracked up when they showed the shot of all the girls with their cell phones filming it:) Thanks for being a great DM fan with us this season Joseph.
I knew Kira was really excited, I agree that I think she knew that was going to happen. I cracked up too when the girls were filming. I can see her wedding being a story line for next season even though Kira told us, Collins Avenue wont get it for free. Your welcome JJ, it was a good season with you guys. Might take the people at afterbuzz a while when you Christy and JJ come in to do other shows and not dance moms. lol.
Dance Moms needs a total reboot with a new Dance Company , Dance Master and Moms/Daughters. The current Dance Moms cast are all so frcken annoying. The magic from season 1 & 2 is just not their any more.
Collins Avenue should not be the company that does a DM reboot. They have for years been encouraging the mean & abusive behavior of Abby to sensationalize the show

wutsup I actually believe that Abby is very little like what she is portrayed on the show. Did you ever think about that? They sensationalize her and make her seem different then she really is. If I thought for one minute that any of the Moms or Abby were as they are portrayed, I would never watch again. But it is a tv show, edited and staged. The do voice overs to make it seem that they have said things they didn't actually say at that time. They cut and paste a crying child into a shot about Abby when they were really crying earlier in the day because they hurt their foot or something.
They talked a little to nothing about the episode itself 😑
They must never watch the show as it shows Cathy and Vivi doing a stocktake of her bunnies.
once again didn't mention any of Maddie or Mackenzie's projects, like them walking the runway at a RALPH LAUREN fashion show. but you always mention Chloe who isn't even on the show anymore.
+Nicole Vultao that doesn't substitute their accomplishments outside of the show. they work hard day in and day out for the show, so I think its only fair to give them some credit for the amazing things they are doing outside of the show.
+Madison Seymour Chloe was only mentioned because winning a tca against maddie was a major thing. No one outside of the fandom really cares what the girls are doing. This show is to recap what happens on the show not outside it. Stop acting like the Zieglers accomplishments aren't always shoved in everyone's face.

Madison Seymour They only mention chloe to keep us updated on her since she's not on the show. The things Nia&Kendall did happened DURING filming. Them walking during the fashion show didn't happen during filming for this season. And last I checked Sia is constantly mentioned on Afterbuzz&DanceMoms. Along with Kenzies guest spot on Nickelodeon. If getting a TCA wasn't a big thing, Maddie wouldn't have posted pics saying, vote for her, so much. She actually counted down the days. 😒😒
When Holly tried to leave it reminded me immediately of last reunion when she tried to leave before Melissa even said anything.

Honestly Jeff seems to be covering up a lot of stuff. Abby started losing weight AGES before moving to L.A. so that whole "L.A. lifestyle must have rubbed off on her." is such bs in my opinion. Not to mention he was dodging a lot of the important questions. He also said in response to the s6 casting ad: "We're always casting for new talent." but they have never before posted up anything like that in previous seasons. :/ Idk he just seems to be giving general answers, but it's not really what the fans needed to hear.
