    Everything you have reported on is pretty standard stuff no matter where you are going to buy. If you wanted to be really useful how about listing those developers who have a good track record of completion - with excellent developem

      Thanks for your comment. While it may be standard to you, it may not be for everyone especially those who have never bought pre con.

    We want to retire (maybe in 10-15 years) in Merida but were considering buying a property now and use it as AIRBNB do you think that is possible or are there any restrictions? what location is close to the beach but is also close to shopping centers and city?

      Hi @mariamarquez, thanks for your comment. Merida is a great place to retire and also a great market for short-term rental investments.
      There is no restrictions to invest and we can help you through the entire process.
      Lastly, the best market right now for short-term rentals is Downtown. $300,000-$400,000 USD is a good range for 2 bedroom homes with a pool. These homes could generate $25,000 - $40,000 USD if managed properly.

    I’m new to Merida. I found a house in Centro to buy. It’s in San Cristobal to be exact. Is this a good area to get in?

      Hi @lenparks - Have you been to Merida before or are you in Merida right now?
      Merida Centro is great and often chosen by expats relocating to Merida.
      In regards to the specific home it’s recommended that you visit in person if you can and walk the streets around it.

      @@yucatanrealestategroup I’m not currently there but will be in a couple weeks. I do have a realtor helping me but was just trying to get a second opinion on the San Cristobal area. It’s not as developed as other areas but was curious if this would be a good area for future return on invest.

      For an investment property is all about the numbers.
      Ask your realtor for rent comparables in the area and search for occupancy rates.
