- WOUB Public Media, in partnership with the Ohio University School of Media Arts & Studies and the Nelsonville Music Festival, is proud to present The Gladden House Sessions.
Hosted by Josh Antonuccio, this 15-part video series features performers at the 2014 Nelsonville Music Festival, filmed in front of an audience at the historic Gladden House, located at Hocking College's Robbins Crossing.
On this episode, old-time roots/swing musician Pokey LaFarge and his band perform two original numbers, "What the Rain Will Bring" and "One Town at a Time," and a Hoagy Carmichael composition, "Riverboat Shuffle." - Hudba
Have the honor and privilege to see Pokey with my fella, in Grand Rapids, Mi in November. Much excite!
THE PORCH WILL NEVER BE THE SAME ! LOVE IT !
Boy, that was some mighty fine a-pickin' and a-singin'
These guys really thrill me. Poor Chloe never gets the credit she deserves and stuck behind that post. Unfair to the gozillion guys who have crushes on Lovely Chloe.
Pokey LaFarge is a GREAT speaker as well as a Great musician!
HATS OFF TO "BILL MONROE" FOR INSPIRING YET ANOTHER ENCHANTING PERFORMER SUCH AS POKEY LA FARGE .
💪🌹HATS OFF TO BILL MONROE. JUST LOOK AT WHAT THE WORLD WOULD HAVE MISSED OUT ON WITHOUT HIM.😇
Danyel Waro sounds fantastic! Thank you for the shout out Mr. LaFarge!!
What a Band!!! and playing real music, I wish them well.
Thank you for coming to Newcastle, Australia. We need you back here asap.
Love how the trumpet player quotes "Pennies From Heaven" in his solo on "What The Rain Will Bring"!
tim kinsella is so
I just discovered this incredible group and am now a lifetime fan! Great stuff!
Chloe's playing on this is superb.
Seeing him tonight at the Coach House. My first time seeing him live.
I've seen all the Pokey videos and the guy on the harp remains a constant source of vibrant playing. I miss Chloe and TJ, but with the South City Three he'll always have an ace backing band.
Good lord are the good!
seen them in paducah ky....2011 & st louis in 2013....these guys are very talented, got
a chance to talk to them in st. louis,
I can't see Chloe what the heck. I love her playing and dancing.
love love love love love it~
which pleasure of discovering you!!
The man he's talking about is "Danyel Waro," just found him
His voice is gorgeous
Incredible. I love new things. Especially when they are amazing.
I was there.
Yes my question too. Pokey please answer.
They should have put Chloe sitting on the steps in front of Pokey🙂
WOO! Seen em' at Cain's Ballroom.
Great cheers my lonely day tapping
Your Highness? Are You still playing together, and performing? Recording, perhaps? MFi, 2020, The Big Quarantine Time. Pls... Meow!!!
I want to know too, The bass player's clearly looking at charts on the floor, so he hadn't had much time to practice before this was recorded. Wonder if he was just a temporary fill-in and not a permanent change.
My guess would be that Joey was ill or something... Joey was with them at The Castle in Bloomington which was after this.
where is the original bassplayer?
He's where all bass players are, behind the post, bass players are to be heard not seen HAHAHA, but , really great bassist!
So wheres Joey?
i can't find that daniel warhol. who knows about him?
Lovely but whoever did sound on this needs to learn how to cut all those intrusive low frequencies.
If the porch posts weren't bad enough. Somebody just had to put up signs........
Chloe is behind the post most of the time!!! :(
+Mac Sterling Please explain?
Hey, at least she _has_ a post to be behind;
if I was the drummer I'd be concerned by the state of decay in that venue.
What a let down from the promoter. Where's the hook?
Great Band, poor production!
