How does Ecosia know if the trees we plant actually survive? In Tree Update 30 we showed you how we gather satellite images and use other technology to see whether the trees you help us plant are still growing. This time, Mélissa shows you how we manually count your trees when we’re on the ground checking on them.

Like.. How on (ahem! )Earth can one “show” something, anything on radio?
That's why ‘drama’[ for scripted programming] & ‘program[me]’ are preferred - no?
Here's an idea: Taking a leaf out of a certain proverb..
Let's make “tell” as a noun, as well. So there you have it, a neologism ‘radio tell’ which should be used as frequently by as many people so it leaves the dark-corners along the lines of Urban Dictionary®, _et al._ and, gains formal-status.
*A not-so-grossly-off topic note:* Is Ecosia® in talks with yet-another US-based IT company, Brave Software Inc dba Brave® for introducing your search engine to their flagship/tentpole web-browsing offerings, as well?
They have the very same browsing-engines as their competitors, who are already offering your Microsoft® Bing® search-engine reliant offering.
I'm putting this proposition here instead of an "appropriate" place 'cus last time I enquired about a very crucial stuff more than once through multiple modes-of-communication, literally "super-"relevant to this series as a whole - I have not received anything resembling a reply whatsoever.(
Unless you count automated emails as one.)
Thankfully, my belated wokeness led me to figure-out the answer which was caused by the confusion from evidently-unannounced change - after all.

@@Ecosia That is good to know. They aren't just "forest deserts" where nothing else lives (like some palm tree farms), but they are actually helpful forests where wildlife may live at some point.❤

Yay, another tree update! I hope your tree-planting activities aren't negatively affected by inflation. It would be a shame if the money you've saved up over the last couple of years in the tree fund suddenly makes much less of an impact.

I am a new comer to Ecosia Team.
But have been watching your team work for some years.
Because, we are, a agriculture lineage of some twenty generations, (we never recorded the generations) since they are leading a Way of Life for us, the subsequent generations, not a Project with any form of financial motive.
At that we are all to this minute very ardent Organic Natural Farmers.
Sans Agri Tech! Sans Chemical Poisons! Sans Chemical Fertz! Sans Highthech Machines!!
So, naturally we Love Trees! Every one of the Trees!! They are actually our own Ancestors! Grandparents! Standing guard upon us, the Mindless Creatures, so that we "Breath!"
I am sixty five now and my husband is on the same age. And we have been growing trees, who knows the count, ever since our childhood. We plant ever green trees on Bhaarth (India) like Neem, Vilaam, Tamarind. We almost have adopted the "Dheva Loga Kaamadhenu", the Neem Tree as our own family, To date thousands of them are under our care.
I just pen this so as to inspire others.

All videos are short, sharp and shiny..:-) But I wish each episode concentrated maybe on one or two projects the most, so it would contain more information. I was browsing through the updates to try to find updated information about your planting efforts in Sumatra, but could not find anything new. Could you please show what areas were you regrowing? After those visits, the tree team first sits down to analyze all the data they collected, compare it to data sent in by the projects and then we start making conclusions. Hi Joaquim! Thanks for asking and for your concern. We always knew the search engine market is a bit of a difficult one with big players in the game. We're not exactly stagnating, but just growing more slowly than in the first years. We're working on accelerating that. Cheers!
