Wai Yin Society - Bringing communities together

Wai Yin Society was established in 1988 to support Chinese women in need. Since then, we have branched out to support the wider community in Manchester and Greater Manchester. Our Welcome Centre, based in Cheetham Hill, was set up with that aim firmly in mind: to help people and communities in need to build a better future.
Fedara talks about her experiences at the Welcome Centre as a service user. She talks about it as a safe and joyous place for people, bringing people from diverse backgrounds and cultures together, and reducing the barriers that separate us, safely. The Welcome Centre is an inclusive place, built on the ideals of community cohesion and strengthening.
