    Thank you for the video. I'll be flying RJ and transferring at AMM in a few weeks, and this video provided some assurance on the ease of transfer at the airport!

    @FlyingCaveman I am traveling to Dubai via AMM (transit) in few days. Do we require Transit Visa just a layover of 1.5 hrs in AMM.

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @shinemathew9331 - There are specific requirements based on your passport nationality. My experience as a US passport holder has been, If you are simply transferring from one flight to the next I have not needed a transit visa. I proceed through transit processing and directly back to the gate. I do not go through the immigration process.

    Quick question please, did you have to clear immigration/ get passport stamps as well? or is it just security?

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @gizmoandmonkey9756 - It was just a quick passthrough of security. They do look at my passport but no visa/stamps required as long as you are boarding another international flight. Thanks for watching.

    Was your baggage checked through? I bought my ticket from a third-party website and it says that baggage is not checked through at AMM. Is that the case? If we have to claim the baggage, do we have to go through immigration?

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @muhammadsuleman7015 - If your baggage is not checked through you will have to go through immigration to claim your bags and then re-check.

    Is there a nearby hotel you can recommend and what is the cheapest way to get to it from qween alia airport

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před měsícem +1

      There is one hotel that is very close to the airport but a little pricey and a taxi is the best way to get there. I usually stay downtown (30-40) taxi as it is close to dining/shopping/culture. If you just have a layover and nothing else planned the hotel near the airport is best choice in my opinion.

      I do not recall seeing a McDonalds. There were several eateries, but they all appeared to be regional. I didn't do a lot of exploring so there may. be some western style restaurants that I simply didn't see.

    • @FlyingCaveman1

      @@FlyingCaveman1 Gotchu. Did you head to security first or did you get your boarding pass and then security? It's my first time ever flying alone. I know how to navigate the airport here in the US but I'm anxious about Amaan (I only have an hour in the Alia airport till my next flight). Thanks for replying! You have no idea how helpful your video is.

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před 3 měsíci +2

      @bmoney1720 I headed straight to security (I already had my boarding passes electronically). After security, up the escalator and back to the gate. From deplaning, going through security and back to the gate was about 15 minutes.

    • @FlyingCaveman1
      @FlyingCaveman1  Před 2 měsíci +2

      @bmoney1720 - I didn't "enter" Jordan so no passport control required. They simply looked to ensure I had a valid passport for entry to my next destination. Then it was back to the gates.
