You are right about this. My mom had the same basic hair style for like 40 years and when I was like early twenties I tried different things with my hair but now I put it in a ponytail EVERY single day and do nothing else with it. My daughter is 4 and she has very beautiful curly ringlets and I'm starting to learn different ways to take care of her hair and style it because I don't want her to end up like me.
My baby cant stand getting her hair combed but wont stay out the mirror once its done 😂😂 chile be around the house about to break her neck swanging her head so her barrettes move
I'm adopted by white parents and my mom went out of her way to get my hair plaited and learn how to take care of African hair instead of just keeping it relaxed or short. Not saying I didn't have realxed hair I did but mostly when I asked for it
I'm that parent, the styles came out nice but with 3 little ones the quickest style for the win which is normally a ponytail or two with one to three braids from each ponytail and beads
@leigh8479 yea yea yea, a 4 and 2yr old knows exactly what they want, as long as the tension of the style is controlled, no problem, but do as you do in your house
To help the health of their hair when swimming in a pool, you can saturate the hair in drinking water before they go in the water! That way their hair isn’t able to absorb much chlorine or salt if they’re in the ocean ☺️ (this is just in case they don’t wear caps in the water when swimming)
@@TheodoreBakes used conditioner before i went in and braided it in 2 big braids. I went swimming twice a day for my camp. Tbh i a slacking and forgot to put it on a lot. Never had any damage my hair has always been long off and on. I only have gotten heat damage or relaxed hair breakage but i been natural since 2012. Hair has been to my ass twice but i cut it cause it takes too long to do all them damn styles. Now i want a bob.
@cutecatthy97 yeah i was raw dawgin it 😅🤣🤣 no conditioner, grease, water, nothing. I learned very quickly watching my hair break off over the next two years. Before that i had only been in yard blow up pools in the country without chlorine so i didnt know any better.
Her hair is absolutely gorgeous. Please do not ever let her be ashamed of her hair. It hurts that so many beautiful brown ladies hate their hair. Embrace your hair. God made your hair so perfectly he knows exactly how many pieces of hair is on your head.❤❤❤
You are a wonderful parent...for respecting the fact that the girls didn't want a certain hairstyle and listening to them. The hairstyle looks absolutely beautiful
@mysecretplace352 No, I've seen some kids with extra braiding hair in their hair. So, for me, the hairstyle was age appropriate. Like, why not just let kids be kids you know?
This is my go to protective style. I only change the front. I’ve even learned how to install it with human Afro kinky hair. Since I stopped using synthetic hair, my hair started retaining length. I keep ordering longer hair and reusing as much as possible. Your baby’s hair was perfect.
Ooh👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Your cute girls be modeling💅🏾 It's beautiful, not even just for it being your first time doing it that way. My go-to hairstyle for my kids is 2 dutch braids, not that they last longer than one night. For protective hairstyles I always do Senegalese Twists with synthetic hair.
Even though I am quite some of the nicest people I’ve met were Black people and I think that they just have the best personality and I would just want to hang around him more than my regular friends you’re a little girls are so beautiful and gorgeous. I just want you to let them know to always stay positive and that they’re gorgeous and to love their self for who they are, and to embrace their color.
That is so cute, I love how the little one at the end was so happy she was modeling- that's precious!.I remember doing that when my mom did my hair, it takes me back-lol

That hairstyle is so beautiful! Moms like you who take the time to teach themselves different beautiful styles for their kiddos are the best! A+ for the style and A++ for being a loving mother! ❤️
youre such a good mom for listening to them not wanting braids. most parents just forced the kid to sit down and yank their heads around till they cry with whatever style the kids had no choice. you look gentle and nurturing
SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!!! My daughter pt my back up against the wall Years ago to force me to learn! Glad I did! Did her 8th grade yearbook hair, and did her thru-out high school (she started to learn when she was away at college). BEAUTIFUL head of hair today Go Mom you did a FABULOUS Job with the girls hair!❤
My go to hair style for my boys was clippers and a guard 😀 The funny part is now my boys are both in their 20's and have longer hair on top but short on the sides and back. At the beginning of summer, the weather was really hot and humid so I pulled my younger son's hair into bun. Another important fact about my son is that he has autism, and only somewhat verbal. I told Cordel to go see if he liked it, and when he got into the bathroom he yelped in distress and felt the top of his head because he thought I had cut off his hair. I felt so bad and pulled out the hair tie immediately. Cordel floofed his hair, glared at me a second, then left the bathroom. Taught me that my little man doesn't like his crown messed with, and he prefers it longer with his curls flowing. The only time I had to attempt styling a little girl's hair was when their younger sister spent the night at our hotel and I had to do her hair the next morning. I got compliments from my friends who had daughters, but I think it was more to do with the fact that I did something because I KNOW it did not look that good 😂😂. Your daughters hair looks beautiful, and I WISH I had 1/10 of your talent ❤.
I really wanna learn how to do this on my future kids' hair. I don't have a huge history on doing other people's hair, let alone kids', but this SEEMS kinda easy.
I love when little girls feel pretty and look pretty after getting their hair done. Teach them how to love themselves at an early age.

❤❤❤looks so good. I had to take my daughter to a braid shop 22 years ago...I still can't braid. Good job to this mom

IF YOUR MAD THAT HER HAIR IS LONGER JUST SAY THAT?????
Thank you for listening to them when they said they didn't want braids. Some parents would have done it anyway.
Both girl's hair came out AMAZING!!!

I was thinking maybe covering it in Vaseline or hair grease to keep it from absorbing it too but Idk if that would work
I came just to say this, unfortunately i learned this AFTER my hair got damaged at 11 from swimming every week 😢
