Thank you for your insight. So basically, parental alienation is proved by documenting the instances of alienation over a long period of time, so that by the time it's proved, the alienation has achieved it's end and irrevocably damaged the poor child. Seems about right for the joke that is family court. No wonder defense attorneys mock the hell out of it.

Your frustration is understandable. Most people are hesitant to take immediate, decisive action, and courts are no exception (far from it). There is, of course, value in resisting the temptation to act hastily and rashly, but too often courts will try to justify plain old inaction with "restraint" and "deliberation", especially in parental alienation settings.

Grandparents can also cause a child to become alienated. And good luck getting the courts or law to protect the child.

In my experience a good psychologist can see parental alienation a mile off its different to abuse in so many ways and if a psychologist cant see the difference then they are a really bad psychologist. A child would hate the othet parent bit have no specisic reason for it and the targeted parent would have been evaluated and also have evid3nce of the child being ok with them before the abuse aligations from the parent began

Hello, In regards to talking badly about the other parent when the other parent has done something extremely wrong, this is how I handled it. The children wanted to know why I got divorced and why dad was incarcerated. I explained that they would have to ask him! They did, when they got old enough. That is the only thing my children ever heard from me. This put all the responsibility on my ex.

Thank you for watching and for commenting. I go back and forth on how useful (and accurate and competent) mental health professionals are in effectively understanding and resolving differences and disputes around child custody and parent-time. There is a ton of pseudoscience peddled and accepted as truth and fact. There is "research" to support almost any theory. It's easier than I had thought for those suffering from mental illness and personality disorders to fool a professional.

I have done most of the things that you have talked about to no avail. Alienators win here. And some of the attorneys I've had involved in my case only chose to keep it going. Now my daughter's life is destroyed. They will not listen to The Experts. It is so sad that I have seen this still on and have lost all respect for the laws that cannot be enforced

I have a contempt action in play now. My s/o will come to the exchange place weekly but will not leave the exchange area after the child gets out of her car and comes to mine. She records the entire event every time. My child will come to my car , refuse to get in, and walk back over to my ex's car. Sometimes 15 or 20 min aftrer showing up at my car. My ex says the court order doesnt say leave the area. The order says that I pick up after school from the school. My ex would normally not be there if it weren't for COVID-19 and home-school. Her bringing my child to the exchange place (school) , then sitting there recording the events tells me that she is staging and /or condoning my child not getting into my car at exchanges. My ex, after letting my child re-enter her car will then leave the exchange area and that's it. No exchange made. Every week for two months this has been happening and I have 2 more months to go until the hearing. This is alienation , interference with parenting time/ custody etc. but will the judge do anything?

My brother is going thru this with his kids.. The mother has decided she's gay and has married another woman. The other woman wants custody of my brothers kids, and his ex is compliant. They schedule other activities, parties, anything they can to prevent their Dad from seeing them.... Making it sound like more fun to stay with the Moms than go over Dads. They go to the school and remove the Dad's name from the contact list so, if there is an emergency, meeting, school event, he is never notified. One of the children has a learning disability and he never gets to sit in on school meetings determining what his needs are and course of action. My brother finally took the court order to school, ordering her to allow him parental rights, and they finally stopped removing his name from the contact list, but he still doesn't get notified about meetings and school events. They will not allow the children to call their Dad, and when they do, they stand over them to make sure they don't say anything they don't want said, and punish them if they do. .. They've made it so difficult for the children to be with him, only one of the three came to spend time with him for Christmas, and he is extremely depressed about it. They've let it be known that their plan is, if anything happens to his ex, her wife will demand custody of the kids, since they have been in their custody. They want him completely removed from his life. The ex was very promiscuous during their relationship. She constantly had affairs with both men and women. When she first started living with her first girlfriend, she and her girlfriend slept with the girlfriends 10 year old daughter....a point she spoke out of her own mouth to a court and it's in court papers, yet she still got custody of the kids. His kids were abused by the first girlfriends son. There was evidence and it went to social services. All they did was put the son in a home, and sent the kids to some counseling.... Again while in her custody, and she still retained custody of the kids. He has paid 2 lawyers to try to get custody, or at the very least, get parental rights, and get her for contempt of court. They have a full diary of court regulations for custody, text messages, recordings of what the children say about how they're not allowed to call, a long string of hard evidence. He has paid a second lawyer and still doesn't have any results.... No hearing or anything. Now, the lawyer is saying he has to get off his third shift job to get custody.... That's insane! If they're going to deny custody because he's on third shift, they need to make it illegal for jobs to require you to work third shift! Thousands of people in this state work third shift everyday and raise their children!!! I'm sick of the system giving her a pass to treat him and the children so badly, just because she's the Mom! His oldest is already 17... The younger two are a couple of years behind.... He is so depressed and remorseful of all the time he's lost with them.... All the money he's paid to try to at least get some form of fatherhood, and he's continually stripped of his rights.... While his ex gleefully tells him his children chose to be with her, and not him! The court system is horrendous when it comes to fathers rights! They have no rights! 😡

A GAL is someone that makes Avery thing worse! This is the sad reality. Clinicians experts in parental alienation are the only one that shall be allow to assess and identify the symptoms of alienation on the child and not forensics.
As a matter of fact, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to identify an ongoing alienation by assessing the parents. This is because if the alienating parent is purposely alienating( and this is what happens most of the time let’s be objective e and realistic here), will never admit it, otherwise what would have they been alienating for in first place???
So, the only way to find out, experts says, is to so to speak find the finger prints of the alienating parent on the child, which means by observing the behavioral patter of the child. As a matter of fact, parental alienation symptoms are very clear and specific. Period!
If courts will continue not listening and refusing to rely on clinicians and to acknowledge their expertise, we will never go no where, children’s alienation will go on and alienating parents let continue perpetrating such criminal ( yes criminal because so even experts defines it) child abuse!
Shame on the justice system that refuses to acknowledge this and in doing so, not acting in the best interest of the child!!!
Who’s then the real criminal in the end: the alienating parent or… a system that is supposed to protect victims of alienation, both, child and alienated parent, but does not???!!!!

Peterson is not a child psychiatrist. You always tell the kids the truth. If a child asks a question you explain it. A six year old can watch a mother giving birth. If we start educating our children early about the world aka the truth...there are people who are cluster b out there. They need to be taught boundaries from day 1. Children should be emotionally raised to feel autonomy. Stage 2 of development autonomy vs shame. Have you ever seen children play? They live in the moment. They forgive and move to the next game. It's the courts that are harming the children. Peterson himself was extremely reckless. In fact, he is known for not talking to children before making choices for them. Seems like he is using evdense for patterns. This is exactly what Randy Rand, Childress, Dorcy Pruter and Warshak use. I suggest you interview Joanna Silberg. PA is what courts use if a person was abused. That is their only defense now against domestic violence. Glad you interviewed him. He is a textbook court whore.

I'm a little confused can you please clarify? Is this good information or not? My ex is a cluster B and I'm terrified that she's going to get full custody although my hands are clean and she has a huge paper trail. I am a pro se litigant. I really have no choice. I'm doing a pretty good job and it's been challenging paying for the GAL. If I could only get my children's therapist notes I'd win custody but I've never heard of the forensic evaluator before and from my recent research they don't really exist in Massachusetts just forensic psychologists. Can you give me any more information?

So, how about this situation: "Dad, why are you and mom divorced?" What if the truth is, "Your mother was having sex with 6 married men at her place of work." That's the truth. Go ahead, tell that to a child.

Yes! "Give birth" not "birds & bees".. Way to young for a child to know about..
