This new house with an old traditional design is better than many of the new modern open plan houses you usually tour. They can be a bit samey. Sometimes the older style is better than the newer style.

Very much so. The modern mansions, glorified boxes, always feel to me like they are so much harder to make homely.
Oooo, I love this property! The vintage inspired architecture is really easy on the eyes, and really suits the landscape. And I love how the owners incorporated little vintage details (like the window panes, handles, etc) to really warm up the modern interiors. ~ off to buy some lottery tickets now!

It's so, so interesting to see the differences in people's tastes when it comes to houses (especially in the comments sections of your videos!) - so great that you cover both the super modern, the older/ more characterful properties, and then also something more in-between like this. Absolutely loved it! The large windows surrounded by flowers and wisteria on the back of the property are just gorgeous. Personally I far, far prefer this more characterful style house to the super modern. The kitchen was gorgeous! I would love it if you could tour some houses more in the Cotswolds area/ Bath area as in comparison to Surrey/ London, you get so much more for your money. Or even rural Hampshire/ Wiltshire. Great videos guys - keep it up!

So, after the Huf Hause in Tenby this is my next favourite property. And you both seemed so excited to be there, lol. Even given the acres of grey everywhere it wouldn't take much imagination to add splashes of colour, i.e. accent walls, jazzy art work. LOVE the colour scheme in the kitchen. And that feature wall of windows, wow, grand indeed. Yet the place doesn't scream opulence or gaudiness like some multi-million properties do. Also, there's plenty of land far apart enough from the property to use for business purposes, maybe a small organic crops/nursery-cum-garden centre, assuming planning permission would be allowed. Well done M&S.
Hi Matt & Summer! You're firing on all four cylinders and never disappoint. Great property and love the scenic location with swimming pool and tennis court, however the interior of this property could do with some sympathetic modernisation and best use of space. As one of your subscribers mentioned, the bathroom decor looks somewhat tired, and similar to an outdated B&B. I agree with that comment. Keep up the good work guys. Juliet from London.
Good location and very nice piece of property. The house is way outdated though. The house itself is not worth the price.

@@TheIantonna It could be remodeled but would be expensive. For the price they are asking should be in better condition I think. If I bought the house and had the money I would tear it down and rebuild.

The house inside is a mix with new and old or not too old, but over all with this amazing garden is top level, a house like this is more familiar then the new beautiful ones, I would stick to this one

Haha no way I thought I recognised that house., I used to know that people that lived on the house on the end (row of three mansions), when I was younger I played hockey with their sons. Middle house had a helipad.

beautiful plot and build, but the decor is horrendous. The bathrooms look like something from an out of date B&B. The rest of the decor and fixtures look cheap and something I'd expect a developer to put in to a £200k house .....

I enjoy seeing these non-ultra modern homes with a little character. For the money though I'm going with ocean view.
Some of the rooms are odd shapes, and more fireplaces than i think some of the spaces need. I'm surprised part of the house isn't Old(er than 15 or 20 years).

I was hoping you guys would've shown us the view of the window when you reached the top of the stairs. I guess much of what you're paying for is the land it's huge you know you're not getting anything close to that price for that size in London

I agree with you, although sometimes it's nice to look at a 'lived-in' house instead of one that feels like a museum. That wall between the kitchen and that useless front space should be removed and the ensuites are terrible. Outdated and no sense of luxury. I'm 6'5 and those showers would be murder. Of course, the outside is very nice, although I'd cover the pool.
