I used to do that on chromebooks, can confirm scratch is limited to like 30 fps
school chromebooks are so painful as they banned turbowarp so we can't play the cleaner version of osu scratch

@@TLEvilMel i remember playing osu on scratch in like 2017 but it was really awful and the notes were randomly generated, however still the correct bpm for the song (if that counts). there wasnt any map importing function like in the new scratch osu

The scratch one can run up to 240fps on the turbowarp mode and I think it has offset in settings it's actually crazy
Before Lazer, this was basically the only way to play osu! without a windows laptop, which includes Macs. Also was accessible through school computers, so these were always nice to have. Doubt that I would’ve gotten into the game without them.

I heard there is ways to play osu stable on Linux
@@narpwa this is also true for Macs, but it’s still very complex, and not the most reliable. Because of this, I would personally still say my statement holds is all.

on windows you can make custom cursors so if you do that you can disable the ingame cursor so there's no lag. alternatively if you know CSS/Javascript you can easily just change the document cursor style to "all-scroll" and that gives a decently round cursor

i do get good acc though, i think it's because of the default hitsound if you get bad acc
