in one version of digimon one minute in the world was about one day in the digital world. so when tai came back to the real world for a few hours before going back to the digital world for plot reasons it was still the same day he left in the real world with less then an hour passing before he got back to the real world the first time.
and by extension ive seen in other things like sci fi movies like the expanse terible movie in my opinion but that's just my opinion take it or leave it. a single hour on another planet was twenty years on earth.
so there is literaly no way to know when or where the team will pop out once they leave.
heck for all we know the ever after picks random times and places to pick you up and drop you off at with time being meaningless to the tree and thus it was just happenstance or the will of the tree that the siblings ended up in the ever after with jaune.
and by that same token they could leave before they even left remnent or a hundred years before or after.

If you go back in time by 1 “Pluto year” and that’s roughly 250 years earth would be rewound. Meanwhile, rewind the cosmos by 1 “Mercury year” and that’s equivalent to just short of undoing 3 months.

I think time just works differently in the Ever After. Like at the end of the volume, the creator or the tree or whoever that was gives them a gateway not to where, but when they're needed in Remnant. The Ever After is a whimsical place with no set logic- or at least none that's easily observable. It's paradoxical. Jaune has probably experienced 10-20 additional years of his physical- but not necessarily mental/emotional- life, but time does not flow the same way in the Ever After as it does in Remnant. Perhaps not even linearly.

Time maybe a weird thing in the ever after it could be that the book was released before but the story put him in a position to follow the events. It was like that for team RWBY as well where they couldn’t deviate from the story.

That's pretty good question but I think it's one of those different plane of existence different passage of time kind of things like remnant time passes differently from the everafter I mean we are talking about a whole different dimension here so it's not impossible for time to pass differently in one plane of existence then the other or maybe he just grabbed one of those clock fruit fangs again and move them sell forward in time does explaining how he's not a fossil or something I mean he doesn't look that old otherwise you wouldn't be fighting so well for his age

I was thinking time dilation, maybe the other world moves slower compared to the real would, so juane may have been in this world a good 20ish years before the twins dropped in and then when they went back it wasn't to their time but much after, that would explain how they came in before the world changed but the book could be released in a time that i could be a classic for the characters, i'm guessing juane then spent another 10 years on his own before team rwby dropped in. My theory is kinda confirmed by the series 9 epilogue when they were talking how enough time had passed that most of the conflicts had been settled and everyone now was beginning to thrive and recover and then the rwby team and juane popped back into the real world, even though it had only been a few days for team rwby since they fell off the walkway.

My guess is it's probably a situation where time in the Ever After flows in a completely different fashion to normal. An example would be if two years pass in the EA, time fluctuates between going backwards and backwards at random. So you could enter the EA and stay there for four years, and when you exit you might come out 40 years ago or eight days in the future. That would explain why Jaune was able to meet Alyx and Louis, yet look relatively young after over 80 years have passed in Remnant. For Jaune, it was probably 20-30ish years between Alyx and Ruby.

It might be that Jaune has been ascended because she did poison him
His time in ever after is 20 years I think.
Let's see what happens next episode maybe they'll explain it and jump to Ruby or neo.

My better question: how much time passed between Alyx and Ruby walking the Ever After? Jaune was already the Rusted Knight when he met Alyx, meaning enough time had passed where his armor had begun to rust and he was tall and mature like Weiss likes her men.
So how long after Alyx’s walk did he reunite with Team RWBY?

Look at his armor. He’s clearly wearing the same armor he started out with and he’s been there long enough for the rust to cover most of the white surrounding the plates.
Would’ve been nice if he kept all the armor though after meeting that weird blacksmith lady. An older and much more mature Jaune meeting with the other members of Team JNPR would’ve been an interesting story to tell and it’s possible that with his time in the Ever After, he’s grown far more physically capable than he could have on Remnant.
Just glad the Volume is over. I honestly wasn’t too thrilled with this Volume and was constantly wondering about the rest of the cast rather than Team RWBY as I knew Team RWBY would make it out somehow.

My guess is mentally he’s in his 30s after being deaged.
Also I’m pretty sure time is just skewed in the ever after. He didn’t get acended he just fell at an earlier point in time just like team Rwby fell later. The smith did say “not where when you are needed” meaning a lot of time probably passed and they’re getting sent back in time to where they were supposed to be
