There's a man talking sense , he's absolutely bang on , keep up the good work folks
That farmer is 100% spot on, we'll have a famine in 10 years or less. Great video, thanks for making it
More to come. Subscribe so you don’t miss out
Straight talking no nonsense and no editing well done James and Dwayne on another real interview
Good man James well said
This man should be minister for agriculture
Great video that man knows his stuff it’s people like him that should be running the country
This man has hit alot key points. Imagine incentivising chopping straw back into the ground and it near €60 a bale now only to rise more if it can even be got next back end
There will be 2 Mayb 3 more videos out over the next couple of weeks. Where we go into more detail on them points
60 euro for a round bale? I'd question the asshole selling the bales, price gougeing
Well said James, bang on..
100% agrre with james... ive been at farming slash contracting since 94 and its completely screwed up ... the government are so far gone from reality its crazy... being led from europe will be the death of irish farming.
When Enda Kenny was interviewed about Irelands massive carbon emission calculation he said that Ireland had huge areas of grasslands, nature reserves, the burren etc and this would be offset against the figure. This did not happen leaving Ireland open to huge fines... This was a skewed calculation.. Doubling your population while allowing farms to go to the wall is reckless. The Green party polices combined with the butchery of our fishing communities is a dangerous road and could lead to famine.. Starve the Irish out was a ploy of the empire... A city cannot survive without its hinterland... The oldest rule in the book... No farms No fishing... No FOOD
All that talk and he standing beside a 120 k euro loading shovel… no loss in that lad at all
Nice interview
Wise man, spoke true words.Good video Sir.
Regarding the machinery prices, some production cost might have come down but average prices went up 20% , staff in the factories all probably got a pay rise to cope with inflation, and during COVID they couldnt get staff so they offered more, so the prices wont be reversed
Well Spoken with clarity about the economic position that exists currently ....
Well said 👏 👌🏻. Nail on the head stuff. 👏
Well done lads , that man speaks some sense
The Eu has become more and more top heavy with rules, Ireland has lost the fishing industry that was first, then came the sugar that was next to get the chop, turf industry shut down, now sugar and turf being imported!! My question is, what’s next? Beef or milk!!
It may not be relevant to this interview but forestry got the chop many years ago and is suffering since with red tape. I work for a silage contractor and in the forestry industry and sometimes its hard to face another day of red tape and bureaucracy, it wares you down
There will be plenty early silage. Lads baling heavy paddocks
With what ? A boat and I’d bring more in a ashtray ? 🤣
You must be privileged area around here no fertiliser and no slurry out to grow it
Some straight man he’s the real deal
Love this man someone who is telling the truth what a fuckin legend 👏 cant wait for more boss .
A good video, very interesting farmer, as a tillage man i would love to discuss the potential of industrial hemp to save Irish farming!
Interesting topic! i dont think ireland would be warm enough, unless we build polt tunnels n the land!
Are you being fucking serious?
Can the farmers sue the epa for false reports
Alot.dairy .men. buying in silage..not cheap.
Can Irish farmers not farm something else besides cattle? Land cant hold cattle.
Some new direction’s & ideas badly needed. Doing the same thing over & over and expecting different result’s is madness.
I don’t think that Irish farmers are lazy or snug they are just too old, half are over 62 and the other half are part time, a cut to the old age pension would have a bigger impact on Irish farmers than any thing that the department of agriculture can do.
votail Sinn Fein
Man talk alot of sence! Should go in to politics l'm a dairy farmer protest are fine need more notice but not at busys time of the year
Rough old contract, rough old agency
Farmers get payed in cents an we pay everyone else in euros.
. And you pay no inheritance tax and everybody else does., and you burn cheap fuel on the road when nobody else can, you pay no rates when every other business does. ..... farmers are such cry babies
Do farmers every stop complaining. They are the boy who cried wolf ...
Obviously not a farmer then
This guy is lying, he has his own solar farm
Absolute doom and gloom. Conjecture and nonsense “good is gone out of farming” no it’s not
James is a marvellous talker, so articulate & so so knowledgeable about farming & clued into the bigger picture of what the Gov & EU are planning on destroying farming & food production! James is spot on about the different agendas at play in Gov & politics! It’s outrageous what’s happening but most ppl are asleep & don’t want to know! Sadly.
He's knowlwdgeble alright and an independent thinker, but he's tone is moany and complaining all the time, negativity is his hallmark. Its hard to listen to and to make yourself be heard if you want the right people to listen
Dwayne Lynch, talking to activists is fine but not necessarily useful or enjoyable listening to them rant for 25 mins, also full of anecdotes that arent proven or followed up. Find some guy whos under real pressure and lets hear their story, im not hearing of anyone selling up like is common in the UK
