I'm a Tita A'tin and been through some realities of life. What our Mahalima is going through is a normal process because that's the reality in business. In fact when my friends and I talked about our young men leaving their old company and starting their own complany, ownership of the SB19 name had been mentioned and my answer to them then was I assumed that the boys had to pay a hefty amount to buy themselves out including their brand/name. But by the looks of it it's still an issue. For me as important that name "SB19" is because they were already known under that name, it's impractical to try and buy out 10 years worth of it (since it's still going to expire in 2031) if they are even allowed to. As A'tin we just have to have an open mind to be accepting what our Mahalima have decided to do. But when you really look at it, it wasn't so strange to start calling Sejun, Pablo and on occasion calling Ken, Felip. So, practical-wise, I would not mind if they change their name and they would not be the only group to do so. What they have is pure talent that can't be duplicated by others so I don't worry about them losing fans just because they change their name. Besides the name "SB19" was given to them by their old company and it will always be tied to Korea and the Korean culture when our young men only want to promote the Filipino musicality and culture. I would always say that "Mahalima" is still orig because it's a Filipino term coined by A'tin saying they love the 5 of our young men and the 5 also replied to their A'tin that the 5 of them love their fans back. So, "Mahalima" reflects their penchant for word play again. And if "mahalima" is not millennials enough then spell it "Mahal5". 😄
My suspect is Mr. JP the boss of SBT Phils and SB19 had a falling out. Maybe there was a mutual understanding b/w them w/c allows SB19 to form their own company but SBT Phils interest w/ SB19 will continue. Mr. JP is the corporate manager of SBT Phils. There are only 5 stockholders of SBT, 3 koreans and 2 filipinos. The record I've seen from SEC is new. Mr. JP owns 12.5%. SBT Phils has only 10M paid up capital. Mr. JP is maintained as their manager. He was w/ them in all their concerts abroad recently. The last I have seen Mr. JP was during the Fanmeet. 1Z entertainment and SBT Phils thru Mr. JP may have a quarrel of the profit sharing. You know. It is very hard to swallow that SB19 is doing the hardwork and SBT is still getting the big cut. A falling out will exactly lead to this. SBT can pull the strings of the TM to coerce SB19 to fold and give up the money. Imagine a 10M peso company w/c is just worth a decent house in the Philippines can earn so much hundreds of milions out of SB19's hardwork for all their performances abroad and guestings.

Mahalima is coined by Pablo in his lyrics from SLMT, not A'tin. But yea, they'll have to either pay their dues for using the name or change it out completely. Either way, they have lost a lot of money already because all of their newer contents in Pagtatag era has SB19 in it. Not to mention even their endorsement deals have SB19 plastered all over. It's a DBA thing. 1Z or the entity was doing business under a name that it's not legally theirs or using SB19 as a product .. a case like this usually i think is supposed to be 50/50 revenue and tax wise upon agreement on a contract... but maybe because there was no agreement ,1Z is bound for penalties at all cost.. 1Z and the 5 as the owners should've had a legal counsel in the beginning...
One comment said there was an agreement between the boys and mr JP the boss of showbt/ the corporate manager of showbt Phil’s . He is one of the stockholders of showbt with 12.5 % ownership. Showbt has 3 Koreans and 2 Filipino stockholders. What the comment said the agreement is to allow sb19 to form their own company but showbt retain interest with sb19 continue. Mr jp remained their manager and was with them during their tour and 1z fan meet but the comment said there might have been a falling out, quarrel over the profit sharing and now showbt is pulling the strings , forcing sb19 to fold and give up the money. The comment said showbt is 10 million pesos company but sees the boys as cash cow with cuts to all their hard work. I hope this is not the person the boys said they trusted

Although we know Mahalima was recognized as SB19 since they started until they become famous. And since also Mahalima group name or group brand name is SB19 when people came to know them. Its a big thing for them, they have to be strong and learn to soar high with adversity and that's how they will become strong as a group as an individual artist. I'm a Tita A'tin and been through some realities of life. What our Mahalima is going through is a normal process because that's the reality in business. In fact when my friends and I talked about our young men leaving their old company and starting their own complany, ownership of the SB19 name had been mentioned and my answer to them then was I assumed that the boys had to pay a hefty amount to buy themselves out including their brand/name. But by the looks of it it's still an issue. For me as important that name "SB19" is because they were already known under that name, it's impractical to try and buy out 10 years worth of it (since it's still going to expire in 2031) if they are even allowed to. As A'tin we just have to have an open mind to be accepting what our Mahalima have decided to do. But when you really look at it, it wasn't so strange to start calling Sejun, Pablo and on occasion calling Ken, Felip. So, practical-wise, I would not mind if they change their name and they would not be the only group to do so. What they have is pure talent that can't be duplicated by others so I don't worry about them losing fans just because they change their name. Besides the name "SB19" was given to them by their old company and it will always be tied to Korea and the Korean culture when our young men only want to promote the Filipino musicality and culture. I would always say that "Mahalima" is still orig because it's a Filipino term coined by A'tin saying they love the 5 of our young men and the 5 also replied to their A'tin that the 5 of them love their fans back. So, "Mahalima" reflects their penchant for word play again. And if "mahalima" is not millennials enough then spell it "Mahal5". 😄
My suspect is Mr. JP the boss of SBT Phils and SB19 had a falling out. Maybe there was a mutual understanding b/w them w/c allows SB19 to form their own company but SBT Phils interest w/ SB19 will continue. Mr. JP is the corporate manager of SBT Phils. There are only 5 stockholders of SBT, 3 koreans and 2 filipinos. The record I've seen from SEC is new. Mr. JP owns 12.5%. SBT Phils has only 10M paid up capital. Mr. JP is maintained as their manager. He was w/ them in all their concerts abroad recently. The last I have seen Mr. JP was during the Fanmeet. 1Z entertainment and SBT Phils thru Mr. JP may have a quarrel of the profit sharing. You know. It is very hard to swallow that SB19 is doing the hardwork and SBT is still getting the big cut. A falling out will exactly lead to this. SBT can pull the strings of the TM to coerce SB19 to fold and give up the money. Imagine a 10M peso company w/c is just worth a decent house in the Philippines can earn so much hundreds of milions out of SB19's hardwork for all their performances abroad and guestings.

It's a DBA thing. 1Z or the entity was doing business under a name that it's not legally theirs or using SB19 as a product .. a case like this usually i think is supposed to be 50/50 revenue and tax wise upon agreement on a contract... but maybe because there was no agreement ,1Z is bound for penalties at all cost.. 1Z and the 5 as the owners should've had a legal counsel in the beginning...

They need to negotiate coz they also need their previous videos and songs for their concert and they need that name to continue their success bcoz they are known for that name specially now its hard to start in the midst of their world tour. If its illegal to use then for sure there is a price for it they just need to bargain. I just hope their previous company will not be so greedy. Its a big thing for them, they have to be strong and learn to soar high with adversity and that's how they will become strong as a group as an individual artist. Its serve as a flavor the trials that's comes in careers and in life to test your faith and trust in God, just turn to God and have faith that they will overcome it with God help and the people who has good motive and intention to help them to represent their legal issues matter with their group brand name.
I dont think It will affect their careers where they are now the group name, if It needs to rebrand their group name other than SB19 to scape the legal matters issue for continuing to use the name SB19 for their group. The Mahalima need to settle it and face it together the big challenges that comes to them now. This is not a strange things for a group who become a star and become famous and for the old company to come after them specially they're big now and making a huge wave in music industry internationally gaining lots of concerts, projects, and fans under the company they personally owned now.
I think SB19 forgot to think about it before they become famous and owned it. Just like the label of the food sometimes you need to rebrand it if there's a problem with the people or brand name your currently using it. These unexpected things that nobody like but you have to go through with it with courage and with hope that all things will work together for the glory of God and for their good as God intervene and work on it.
Just pray, pray and pray even after God settle the problem and issue keep on praying. Know for sure it will affect the Halima and their fans but what they need to do is to stay focused, motivated, and passionate in their crafts as if nothing happen or issues that taking place with them, this is part of growing as an artist, group idols and as an individual. There's so much things to learn in life to help us be matured in all aspects of life.
they've been self manage for awhile now.. but it is business to not let them use their group name freely while the company still hv the copyright over their name.. who would let go of the impressive achievement by a group that being a money grabber? No one. But SB19 without the members is simply a name, but a group without a name, they could rebrand themselves... but what about the effort they've for years? Maybe they have a mutual agreement w/ SBT Phils. SB19 can form their own company but SBT Phils interest w/ SB19 will continue. Their current manager is Mr. JP w/c is also the existing corporate manager of SBT Phils. That is why it was not difficult. They may have a falling out because of the profit sharing agreement. Imagine, SB19 is earning hundreds of millions from their concerts abroad. SBT Phils must be getting a bigger cut thru Mr. JP. That is very hard to swallow for 1Z Entertainment. You know. SBT Phils is just a 10M peso company. They are not doing anything. Just sitting pretty. And yet will be getting hundreds of millions out of SB19 hardwork.
