These 3 are doing more than singing together. They are preserving a style of singing harmony brought over from the British Isles long ago and very few people are doing it justice.
There is so much harmony in there voices it sends shivers up and down your spine their voices weave back and forth, one voice coming out than fading back than another come out of the harmony it is so beautiful and unfortunately one voice is now stilled. This beauty is gone forever, and we have a sad loss!
I have to say again these are the 3 ladies i could listen to all day..they just put you in a good mood..when people feel the way they do about each other it just flows out and you get to experience it and thats a good feeling.

Linda Ronstadt had nice things to say about Dolly and Emmy too, in an interview with Rolling Stone in which she was asked whether they all got along. She said they had pledged to disband if that became a problem, and that Dolly didn't have a malicious bone in her body & actually had insight that helped things go more smoothly.
Emmylou is so quiet and pensive in this interview yet at the same time you can tell she is the one who sets the direction for the music they recorded - she has such a beautiful singing voice

Dolly's uncle noticed her musicality and gave her a guitar. Dolly's music got her the attention she needed. Many if not most people are in show business because they feel a need for attention. Dolly herself has said she is basically a show-off. She is very honest about it.
Poor Emmy got a bit short-changed there as far as close ups go.... or any camera time for that matter! Lovely interview, heheee love it when the lady sneaks up and combs Dolly's hair x

She said that as a child she was not picked up or given attention unless she was ill or had done something wrong, and that this was true for her siblings as well. (The exception was the special time she got with her Mom when she made Dolly that famous coat.) So Dolly was very hungry for attention. She said she kind of got lost with so many kids.
