As a medical student I had to dissect bodies of unknown humans from the Australian population. There are many organs and bones in museums all over the world. These bodies are universally respected and appreciated globally. Why suddenly are certain peoples upset and concerned about this? And why is there not mention of non-Pacific and non-Aboriginal remains?

Sadly there are many more stories like this. The skeleton of "The Irish Giant" was only removed from display last year, 300 odd years after his body was stolen by a doctor who later sold it to a museum.

We should return these remains to the Ancestors, I would feel horrible if my parents or grandparents remains where on display! It’s horrible, and these are Human remains not some animals, collecting and displaying human remains is disgusting!

Skull collecting for asinine theories of European superiority. We have your histories and your remains in our museums. Come and take them?

I think the issue here whos going to pay for it. Papua don't want to pay for it. They want Australia to pay for it. The reason governments repatriate aboriginal remains & artifacts is because they are part of our Australian heritage.
