As someone with 6 little cousins and a little sis, I can confirm that that is EXACTLY how kids play pretend with toys.
Mhm! It's one of my favorite scenes in helluva boss, it's incredibly realistic and probably the best depiction of children I've ever seen in a cartoon. It was phenomenal.
As someone with a nearly-4-year-old niece, a 13-year-old niece, and a 16-year-old nephew, I watched this and it just reminded me of every one of them at that age (the 4-year-old learned from her siblings already... possibly unfortunately 😂)
Blitzø has SOME type of feelings for Stolas, he just doesn't view them as equals, he thinks he's inferior to Stolas, so that's why he uses him - hence the vision when he's hallucinating in e6 of Stolas up on a golden throne, saying "Are you afraid to love people, Blitzy?" That, and in the finale, the one picture of Stolas that Blitzø had on his phone was one of them cuddling, Blitzø was actually smiling in it. So, there are hints there that he's developed some sort of feelings for him, he's just got a lot of screwed up shit to work through.

Just for context, Stella wasn't mad that Stolas slept with other people, she's just mad he slept with a imp, who are the peasants or the lowest cast of hell, other than hellhounds. I'm pretty sure Stella canonically 'cheats' way more often than Stolas, and Vivziepop might have said they're in an "open" relationship just not WITH each other after Octavia's birth/hatching.
Also, MAYBE if Stella wasn't a psychotic abuser Stolas probably would have at least stayed with her but I think he's gay or male-leaning-bi

This whole episode is really sad when you frame it as Stolas as just been craving a connection this entire time. And while he has fun doing all that kinky stuff with blitzo, it paints it like he just really plays into it since that is what he thinks blitzo wants. So he is just trying his best to give him that to keep him around.
The whole thing about being kinky FOR blitzo has me, as one myself, feeling like Stolas (while possibly gay) may also be Demisexual.
Demisexual being that it being a grey spectrum of asexuality, where you only feel sexual arousal when doing it with someone you have a close an intimate connection with (obviously NOT family, just a close emotional bond like friends)
I know I dont specifically feel anything unless its something my partner enjoys. If they enjoy it I can. It may be a bit of projecting but it feels super familiar with how he can be. Obviously I dont blatantly state my sexual advances but you get the general idea.
What wound up shocking me the most here is that Stolas is basically only THIRTY-FIVE. In the "Loo-loo Land" lullaby I genuinely thought he was a few thousand years old, because, well, Hell and demons and undying entities and what not! (And because it is an extremely melancholy lullaby, although incredibly beautiful. I admit I did burst into tears listening to it while caring for an elderly parent.
A few things we know: Octavia was born when Stolas was 19, then Stella had her egg "fall out of her" and bowed out, and pretty much nobody touched Stolas until he met Blitz again. This puts so much of what happened in the first season in a different light regarding both Stolas and Blitz (Stolas's foul mouth, for example, is basically what he thinks Blitz wants to hear. Stolas is a pushover, from childhood, due to loneliness. It is *not* what Blitz wants to hear, but he started it without realizing by using such tactics to steal the Grimoire.)
Stella has crossed the line to just straight up antagonist, and this is why: She gives herself away full-on when she talks about Stolas in bed: Not because she's telling embarrassing stories, but because she (without even realizing) makes it clear to us the audience that what she does to Stolas in bed is essentially *abuse*, or at the very least nonconsensual. If Stolas is lying there frozen stiff and staring at a wall, this is *NOT CONSENT*, it is disassociation, a coping mechanism that victims use to "go away" inside their heads, and frankly it's horrifying.
You're not so sure how demons age, maybe there's time dilation in Hell.
I think Blitz feels some kind of way about him too but is afraid to acknowledge it. I think it’s telling that in the pics on Stolas’s phone Blitz looks miserable, but the one pic of them we saw on Blitz’s phone at the end of last season they were in bed and Blitz was smiling…and stolas was asleep.

Never thought about it, but it’s kinda wild that Stolas (a demonic bird) has a cape with feathers around his neck.

Poor Stolas, always getting used by people. Paimon used him to get an heir, Stella kinda used him for status (we don't know how much power her and her family already had yet and even then it's not like she could really divorce him because of whatever Andrealphus says to her) and also I guess an outlet for her anger, and Blitzø not only used him for access to the human world but hardly gave him the time of day. The only person close to Stolas that hasn't used him is Octavia and it's sad that the only person to not use him is literally a child.
Paimon in all fairness was doing his royal job, arranged marriages are done to strengthen alliances with other major families. you tell me which is more important, 1 person's happiness vs discourse that can result in many MANY ruined lives?

@@47ratsinahoodie again though this is royalty matters, i'm not excusing Paimon of what he did wrong, i simply said that he tried. also you gotta look at it this way, it's no doubt that Paimon had a very similar upbringing, complete with arranged marriages, especially if he had so many as he claimed.
@@UltimateGamerCC "I simply said that he tried" he absolutely did not. And Paimon's upbringing would be an explanation, not an excuse. It doesn't make it okay when he sends his son and butler to the circus with him in a mirror in order to try and get him to stop crying because he finds it annoying.

you know, i hated Stolas' dad in the beginning, but then i realized that he took note that Stolas liked Blitzo and arranged a playdate for him, i mean is he the best dad? most certainly not. but he tries, and like Loona says, that matters a lot.
I think Stolas, Blitzo and Fizzaroli were all around 10 in the first flashback, and they’re all closer to 35 in present day, after the 25 year flashback. I say those numbers because of what Stolas tells us at the end of the video, that Octavia is 17 in present day (that being the only reason he stayed in his abusive marriage, to wait until Octavia was at least 17). If the adults are 35, then subtracting 17 from that means Stolas and his wife became parents shortly after marrying when they’d have been 18. So he was forced to date her at least for 8 years after the circus before marrying her. They might be slightly older than that of course, but they’re all likely between their mid to late 30s.

@@47ratsinahoodie oh uh, I don’t think it’s officially stated anywhere, I just assumed. Though I suppose being royalty, Stolas was just told who’d he court, and then thrown right marriage with her.

The circus scene is interesting to me because as pointed out by someone else on another video, all the acts are in pairs of twins aside from Blitzø and Fizzarolli. So it makes me wonder where Barbie is. I don't think she's the tightrope walker due to them having the male imp horn pattern. It could have been a design change, sure, but this episode had been in production for a while, almost close enough to S1E4 where we see the new Blitzø family dynamic (originally, Tilla, Blitzø and Barbie's mother in Blitzø's photo from last episode, was their older sister and we knew nothing about Cash) meaning her redesign should be consistent between that one and this one. So, where in the world is Barbie Wire 🤔

The only thing I disliked about this episode was literally the age thing. I would've thought Stolas would be a lot older.
I think forty something is a good age for them both
Hell born demons age differently than sinners. They go through a growing phase just like humans, it's just that they live for a very long time. Sinners don't age. Stolas, in a way, is at a reasonable age, that being 35, but he's very young for a demon royalty.

No I think you are somewhat wrong about that , because the Harbin hotel show is going to mainly focus on the pride ring which is the only ring human souls can be in and hellavuboss is showing us all the other rings which is why they are always showing different rings , all we need is sloth , envy and gluttony

@@thesentientmicrowave7664 a couple things, i mostly have a problem with her hurtful gay stereotypes. Like its one thing if its one character that acts like that but to have literally every gay character act stereotypical? Kinda sus. I also have a tumblr post saved that explains some other things she did that i didnt even know about it was so weird
@@soggedupfrog how does she include harmful gay stereotypes exactly? almost the entire cast of both of her shows are in the lgbt community, and none of them are based on stereotypes, especially harmful ones
