My husband was in the hospital for 300 days. Every day he asked to hear this song! He went to heaven on May 3, 2024. I will miss him till I see him again. We trust You Lord!
Im not religious but i believe theres something good out there in the void, a few months ago my life was turned around by a life changing illness at the age of 35. I know life on this earth is beautiful but youll meet him again.

When my grandmother was dying I had just found out I was pregnant with my daughter. This was her favorite song and wanted it played at her funeral.
My daughter was born Christmas Day that year and I named her middle name after my beloved grandma. I went on to suffer severe postpartum depression. It was the darkest time of my life. After lots of prayer and the right medicine I found healing.
Today my daughter told me she sang a song in Sunday school about a lighthouse and time stood still as it all came full circle….I thank God for the lighthouse!
I love these old gospel songs, I don't know why our churches can't go back to these grand old tunes! Praise & worship songs of today are ok,but they don't have the same message as an old GOSPEL song!

We have an elderly man at our church who sings this song. His voice is old and rough, but amazing. We had soldiers coming to our church on Sunday nights before the pandemic and the first time he got up to sing it as a special, I was so worried. I was afraid this bunch of young soldiers would not listen to him and be disrespectful. To my amazement, they all sat quietly and listened well. I think I've even seen tears in the eyes of some. When he is finished singing they all applauded him. I was very proud of them all.
Well, after so many wasted years, I may start to understand my life through this song.

Time after time I cannot explain why I'm still here except that the grace of God guided us through the rock and storm. It's another song that brings a tear and sometimes you can only walk on faith and keep going .

I listen to the lighthouse almost everyday. I am one of 12 and we went to a country church where my Mother and us kids would sing but my Mother sang this a lot near the end of her life She passed in 1977 and this is very comforting. God Bless you all
