Greg howe is one of the seven best guitarrists around the world. He's really musical, techinical, play different rhytmic cells. A complete musician / guitarrist. Congrats guy. I remember the first time I listened your LP. Amazing. The parallax cd is nice too.

We can see thousands of guitarists running scales with awesome speeds, but the scales Greg Howe chooses and the phrasing skill he has makes him by far my favorite guitarist.

Greg Howe has got that "flow" to his improvisation that is otherwise very rare to find in other guitarists.

With all due respect to all famous guitarists, I have been watching and listening to players since 1960, and have never seen or heard anyone better than Greg Howe. I guess he's not past his "guitar phase".

charles altura is technically the best for sure. no one even comes close to touching that fool. he's like an actual jazz player too. but howe will always hold a special place in my heart lol
I'm learning this song as an audition piece, including my own improvisation during the main solo section... and I'm absolutely stumped as to how impeccable Greg's phrasing is. I sure as hell would love to see exactly what goes on in his head whenever he's improvising like this.

Introspection is a masterpiece. Still listen to that more than any other of his albums, the tone is so smooth and the playing is just phenomenal.

This guy is just simply unbelievable. One of the most musical shredders out there. He pretty much innovated his style of phrasing with the sliding and vibrato. My favorites are Greg, frank gamble and jason Becker

Introspection is PURE DOPE . The most asskicking fusion- melodic album ever made by human . Im listening to introspection every day last 5 years . Parralax is insane also ...but introspection is one of a kind & blowing my mind . Greg Howe is pure inspiration ... makes me wanna play 15 hours per day . BEST FUSION PLAYER EVER.

Greg Howe has transcended the simplicity of Metal music and moved on to a much, much higher plane. No 2 fingered power chords and easy 4/4 time for him! Great player, fantastic feel.

I had the pleasure of speaking w/Greg after one of the gigs I saw in New Hope, PA. I loved getting the chance to relay how meaningful his talent and originality are to us fans. He seemed very modest as I complimented him, and I was like "NO NO man, you gotta understand the uniqueness of your gift in the eyes of other players!" There's many great players; I love listening to them all. But at Greg's technical level (not too many) it all comes out ultra-meaningful... melodic, soulful, and with such rhythm and syncopation. It's not riffs or licks, chopped into obedient, divided metrical phrases. Greg's melodies unfold like unbroken stretches of time and innovation, like architecture or things in nature. It's inspired, real communication, things I haven't heard "said" before. And of course, his overall technique and writing are simply MIND BLOWING. He had a great sound live too. Other players who for me make this same connection are Tommy Emmanuel, Alex Lifeson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, David Gilmour, Joe Satriani, ah enough of that.
