I can watch Sophie’s videos again and again due to her great style and soothing demeanour. I love that she really appreciates what she has, without being precious about it. And beautiful photo of Ava in mummy’s wedding dress.
I love that you didn't edit out the cobwebs, etc. It makes Sophie that much more endearing and doesn't detract at all from the design. Love these videos so much and her calming vibe.

@@countylivinginstyle2830 I am aware of that too and worse but if you follow Sophie, you will see how much she has and does for charities who are helping exactly those people you are mentioning. I came from from a family of strugglers and I also continue to struggle in my own way. But I have come to terms with the idea that there is no shame in wealth and that in fact, as I build my wealth, I am in a better position to help those I know need help. And one of the best things to offer those struggling is the idea that they have value, should never doubt that and that they can find their place in this economic maze. Something that Sophie has also spoken about so much on her Instagram. Her story of how she built her business is absolutely remarkable. I’m sure she had a foot up in some regards but how she didn’t give up on herself and found opportunities where there were none is inspirational gold! And that’s what everyone, no matter their economic status can do for themselves. And that’s what it’s reminded me of, that I also have opportunities in my life that are there for me to discover.
@@countylivinginstyle2830 Well there is definitely shame in wealth when it’s acquired through terrible means but I know Sophie’s story is one of perseverance, honour and self-worth and I know from following her work that she is helping to employ and make plenty of work for artisans and non-sweatshop employees. She cannot fix all the inequalities but she is definitely doing her part and helping to work towards a world where artistry, good hard work and charity is appreciated. If there were more people like her, the world would be a much better place.
@anna Oslo Thanks Anna, I really appreciate your kind support- I was worried and put off this part of my home tour for this reason. But I have had so many requests and feel like we have a great community here who are interested in this aspect. You can’t always please everyone (as below) but I have worked hard to afford these things and spend far more on supporting charities each year than I do on shoes and bags. It’s ok to have nice things and appreciate them.

Take a cotton bud soak it in a little bleach and dot on the stains of your faux leather.leave for as long as it takes to lift the stains, agitate the bleach with the bud to address if a little more bleach needs to be added, then when the stain has dispersed wipe away the bleach with baby wipes, and dry with a clean cloth. A new fitted cover for the top, such as glass,natural wood or other ? Also there are some amazing drawer liners that would protect the faux leather.🙏 I love that you don't mind your daughter dresses up into your wedding dress.♥️

Gosh, I love your videos Sophie. I love how down to earth you are and the interactions with Olly(or maybe Ollie?) too. Your dressing room is just fabulous, a little quiet haven away from the world. I love the thought of the fabric coverings on your actual wardrobes too. People placing bags on the floor drives me crazy too (and suitcases on beds 😬) so I’m going to look into your little bag hanger, mine usually stays on my lap, which obviously isn’t the best solution. Already looking forward to your next video.

So inspired by this dressing room video, loved hearing about the thought process for your decisions in the design and planning. Love fashion as much as interiors as well. So really enjoyed hearing about your favourite bags and shoes. My weakness too and have recently had to finally accept to upsize my shoes. Too bad but life. Love always hearing about which scents you love as this is another layer to an outfit and to our decor in our homes. You did not come across as bragging up at all. Just kindly sharing your favourites that have worked so nicely for you.

Really enjoyed seeing your dressing room tour and your fashion style and hearing your lovely stories. Hiding your mess, reminded me of a organiser’s youtube, I just discovered and there are four types; two that are visual organisers and like having their stuff out Bee (that’s me and good for people with ADHD - out of sight , out of mind) & Butterfly and then there are the two types that need their mess hidden; cricket & ladybug, with ladybug being less structured, needing to toss stuff in a basket etc. You sound like a ladybug. :)
worth watching for the 2 mirrors. I love trying on clothes in the store just for the mirrors. Was trying to figure out how to get them in my home without taking up the entire side of a room with a 3-mirro. This is how. Awesome.
It makes such a difference in working out what suits you when you can see all the angles! 🤣

I feel your pain in parting with your shoes but what a great cause. I have shoes that I'll never be able to wear again but I keep them displayed on open shelves in my walk-in simply for the memories they hold. Lovely video, thanks for sharing and I hope Ollie is bearing up. Much love x

Hi Sophie - If you need an insert for your Hermes bags I highly recommend 7 Rue Paradis - every insert is custom to the specific bag (Kelly, Birkin, etc), leather type and size. Highly recommend.

For the island top either have it professionally sealed with a waterproof barrier treatment or get a custom StarPhire low iron glass topper (doesn't have that green tint) and use clear spacers, the latter is pricey but worth it IMO.

I've just binge watched some of your video's with my wife. This video brought back the reasons why I left the UK and thoughts of ever returning fleeing from my mind. The thought that if you have something nice, yet can't use it or you might be mugged, makes no sense in having something nice in the first place. Why work hard to have the money to enjoy the nice things in life, just for some poxy person to think they can harm, threaten and in some cases, take your life so they can take it from you.
I live in a place where I leave my doors unlocked, my windows open, my key in the ignition of my motorcycle or car when I go into the shops and wear nice clothing/watches etc without feeling or looking like a target.
