Nice video. I learned a few new things. Try shooting in 10bit HLG and then transfer to your iPhone. The video looks drab on the Pocket 3 screen but absolutely comes alive when viewed on your iPhone or any other HDR screen!!
Hi Barry, yes you need to be in either HLG or D-Log M to be shooting in 10 bit colour. If you’re in Normal then that’s shooting in 8 bit colour. Hope that helps.
Thanks for your reply Ninjadom ... Yesterday I did some more tests . I shot a video at 4K 50fps on my Pocket 3 using the Colour mode - Normal and Video Compression -on Efficency (HEVC) ...... It turned out this WAS in 10 bit . To find this out, I opened the video in VLC Player - Tools - Codec Information -- "Decoded format:- Planar 4:2:0 YUV 10-bit LE " ......so I can only assume that all 4K video shot in Efficency (HEVC) on the Pocket 3 will be in 10 bit. .....regards Barry.

I'm still playing around with the settings to my liking so I was very interested in hearing how you set yours. I'm just like you, the more simple the better but, I do use the pro settings. seriously considering getting the latest DJI POCKET 3. Your expertise and experience on this video camera has tremendous impact on my decision. First, is the price worth the value of the video camera?. Second, Zoom is big plus for me. Is this capable of zooming far distance object. Is the zoom come close to iPhone 14 zoom lens. Thank you.

Also: I like using the exposure slider ( swiping to the left from the right side of the screen),but it only seems to work when actually shooting video and it can't be set before you actually shoot- what do you recommend? Well for some reason it didn't work with my phone so I had to return it there's another camera out there on the market it's just like this and it's better because the actual video camera detaches.

Both are quite different cameras, but if you already have the X3, you can do action camera shooting with it. So I think the Pocket 3 would be a better fit.
Does activetrack work through the Mimo app in dynamic framing mode? I could have sworn it did, but now if I try to use active track through the mimo app in Dyanamic Framing mode, I receive the error "active track not supported in current shooting mode". Anyone else experience this or know a fix?
Forgive me I am old.......In the beginning of the video your Pocket 3 is facing a grid board but on the screen of the camera is a deferent image. I see the shadows of your hand movements on the grid board so the board MUST be real, right? so how is this possible? hahahahaha.....Like I said I am old... Great video though...I love my Pocket 3

@@SpotNFloGood spot! On the iPhone in Settings-Camera-Formats, it does say ‘High Efficiency’ is required for the more demanding modes.

The P3 does only have digital zoom. So not as good as iPhone 14

It is the advance feature mode where you can choose the dynamic framing, spinning shot, or follow focus.

How do you edit pocket 3 videos? Mimo, capcut, or something fancy like final cut or adobe premiere?
I generally use DaVinci Resolve on my computer for long firm videos. If doing a quick edit on the phone, I use CapCut.
can you upload a raw photo? to see distorsion etc? in every aspect ratio and oriantation
It's low megapixel. Distortion is minimal.

4k60 with your shutter speed at 1/120 is only "cinematic" settings if you're planning on slowing down your footage in post.

My Pocket 3 only turns left to a certain degree but right way more like all the way around. Same on anybody else? Can I turn this off?
Could try a recalibration or factory reset and see if that helps.
It turns out the Pocket 3 does not go 360 degrees. It goes 60 degrees to the left and 270 to the right
Stuck between decision DJI Action 4 or Pocket 3 ........ Already have Insta360 X3
Both are quite different cameras, but if you already have the X3, you can do action camera shooting with it. So I think the Pocket 3 would be a better fit.

Mentioned towards the end - check the timestamps. It’s a short section because there aren’t many settings in photo mode.

I haven’t tried this yet, but yes, it should be doable. Volta should be able to charge other devices, not just GoPros.
