Hi! You can start off with one cup of water and add more to reach your desired consistency. For the sea moss you have soaked but aren’t using, I would recommend freezing it for later use. And the 1 ounce to 2 cups is 1 ounce raw dried sea moss to start.
Sea moss keeps for about 4-6 weeks in the fridge. Or you can freeze it for up to 3 months. I try to consume it within those time frames to make sure I’m enjoying the sea moss when it’s most fresh.
Does your sea moss not get a bit harder when putting it in the fridge? I bought some from a local store and it’s a thick gel consistency but everyone on CZcams seems to have a more liquid consistency

Hi Miguel! Boiling reduces its nutrients, that’s why I prefer to prepare my sea moss using the cold method. This especially helps when I use it in soups, sauces, or baking because I’ve maintained the highest integrity of the sea moss, it’s still full of nutrients when I use the gel for cooking (or expose it to heat). I have a ton of sea moss recipes on my site if you need some inspo! 🙂

Hi! When you apply sea moss to your skin it dries up, similar to fresh aloe gel. It works wonders, but I would recommend rinsing it off. IMO

Yes, it thickens significantly when you put it in the fridge and becomes a more gel like consistency.

Literally all you have do is add lime when you rinse and soak it , this neutralizes the strong salty taste from the ocean
