    What is the problem? Every house with a leasehold will expired after a certain period of time. Even if you buy a freehold property, you are only free to hold the title but not the land. If URA decide to take back, they will offer u some compensation and take back the land from you. People said things like as if you buy a home with a lease hold of 99 years, they must do something to extend your lease when it is near its expiry. You should foresee what the future hold for you and plan accordingly. That's life.

    tbh most ppl in sg probably won't live past the average life expectancy of 83 yrs.

    Don’t have to worry so much, once ended you’ll get a new flat. Great especially if you get it in central location.

      @@LordBagdanoff u will also never know,, this property in Singapore is high demand.. price is rising,, people hunting for property that left only 40-50 years then expect to get enbloc.. now stamp tax property for foreigners is 60% 🤣,, to foreigners is just doesnt make sense.. and what happen next is,, price drop,, no Enbloc,,,

    85% Singaporeans are the HDB tenants. Singapore government will not and cannot forsake them when the lease expires on the 99th year, for they can just vote them out in the election.
