I'm 6'0 with big calves. Straight jeans are the way to go. Usually if I wear straight cut, I tapper the opening for about 1 cm. That's good enough to not having too much excess fabric around your ankle.

Endomorphs if your like me and hate the big openings at the end of your strait fit jeans look into athletic fit they usually have a little stretch for your thighs and they usually tapper down at the bottom
For the bigger dudes, there are brands like Levi's and Abrecrombie and Fitch that offer an athletic taper. They are a bit more roomier above the knee and tapered slim below it.

I’m very big in size and also tall so what I do is look out for a brands athletic fit. What I recommend is Levi’s 541 fit, Levi’s 531 fit (a little more fitted than the 541) , also Gap Athletic Jeans. For straight jeans I loveee Lucky Brand 223 Straight Jeans.

As a very thin guy usually buy skinny to look like average guy in slim fit jeans. Most of the time slimfit jeans are way too baggy in calves and ankle area. I dont like tapered jeans they tend to accent mine thin ankle . I think better proportions have skinny(not this tights skinnies) that legs have the similar thin cut on whole legs.

Yo if you an Endomorph, go with the 541 Levi's, they taper at the bottom, but can be true to size for the waist, and they also have a stretch to them in the knee
