- The question of elevating Justice K M Joseph to the Supreme Court has brought the Centre and the Supreme Court collegium on the path of confrontation.
The matter remains unresolved with the collegium yet to decide its course of action after the Centre returned the file recommending the elevation of Justice Joseph as an apex court judge.
Given this controversy, let's understand the procedure of appointing judges in India, the role of the Executive in appointing judges and the debate over the existing system of appointing and elevating judges.

a judge must be appointed on the grounds of his or her qualification irrespective of gender ,caste and religion
It's MH Beg and not MU Beg and it is SP Bharucha not SP Bharuch and the First Judges' Case was delivered in 1982.
Such a renowned and reliable channel should not make these mistakes.
It's a good way to understand the facts.
Thanks

Person who have the caliber should be appointed as judges of sc irrespective of caste, creed, religion.

Jagadeesh Haribabu that remote operates the teleprompter - teleprompter is a sort of screen that displays the script - script is read aloud by the anchor.
Why mention kolkata highcourt rather than west Bengal at 7:42 in this video..???
Can use more graphics and animation to help the voice over.
First Judge case S.P Gupta vs Union of India in 1982 nt 1981
NJAC is also not good. See, appointment of govt advocate in district court and high court by Govt. Written exam is fair process by providing opportunity to every counsel
Which system should prevail more? Collegeum or njac
@@grizzly8179h Yes because experienced can only handle it very effectively
Collegium Procedure is it correct ?
If correct then an IAS officer can nominate another person as an IAS officer.
A CM can nominate another CM ?
Is it fair enough ?
I have one doubt if any body has 10 years of practice in hc, SC, and he did not argue many cases, but if he has good bonding with political parties with CM, pm, then he can became judge, !??if this is correct then ,judges posting is pure political posting!?
It's because Justice KM Joseph is a Christian
Bjp wants hindu nation, which is never possible
