B'Wave by Max Maven | Hidden Gems #45
This is a video series from Magic TV which will be taking place every week on Wednesday's at 9pm. In this video series, Craig looks at a hidden gem that everyone has forgotten about. This might be from a Penguin Live, an Alakazam Academy, a Masterclass or even a Masterclass. It could also be a routine from a book or a magazine or an ebook.
Each week Craig will perform the trick in question, talk about why it is so good and where you can learn it from. If you are trying to look for a hidden gem, this is the video series for you.

Max Maven was very adamant it was pronounced like bwave (pronounced like brave) not b-wave. It was actually a sticking point for him.
I also heard this from Eugene Burger (this was a trick he always kept in his wallet). He said 'Max is giving you a grammar lesson'. And it makes sense as it's an apostrophe, not a dash or a dot.
Love Jumbo B'Wave. I use mine in parlor shows all the time!

Great trick I bought the bwave plus version I perform bwave with jacks then switch out the jacks for queens in one pocket and go into John bannons twisted sisters it blows people away

@@fog10101 I probably didn’t explain it good enough mate, start with the jack in your hand with a blue backed deck but in your pocket have the blue side of twisted sisters ready to go, the reasoning for you putting your hand in your pocket is to pull out the red backed cards of twisted sisters but obviously there in your left pocket, but you need to keep them separated so you say oh sorry wrong pocket, whilst making the switch with your right hand then the left hand pulls out the red packet and your ready to go into twisted sisters straight from bwave 👍🏼 hope this helps not very good at explaining things in writing 😂
In the tutorials he definitely clarifies that the name isnt B-Wave, its pronounced bwave. One word lol

Yup...bwave is what he said, for sure. He actually said that "B" "Wave" was wrong.
I have a few B'Wave Deluxe sets of cards-- this performance reminded me that I really need to start doing this a lot more. Such a great effect.

Just for the record, Max pronounced it as bwave....not "bee wave"...like the word brave but with a w substituting the r. It annoyed him when people called it bee wave. Just fyi. Awesome trick.

It’s a nice trick. I can never get over the 1 in 4 odds on this in terms of impact but it is decent.
Have to say that the effect that I get more mileage from, particularly if you get a deck that you can mark up yourself, is Phil, which is stunning to a spec.

In what universe is B’wave a “hidden” gem? (Maybe the universe where you can’t be bothered to learn its correct name?) That sound you hear is Max turning over in his grave.

It's true. I love a good train wreck.
It is a hidden gem in a universe where Craig defines what a hidden gem is at the beginning. Let me tell you again. It is a trick that came out a few years ago that many people may not have seen. I'm paraphrasing to simplify things for you. Now, as I am relatively new to magic, when I watched this first time around I had not seen the effect before. Can you understand that not everyone knows everything that you happen to know? Is it possible to grasp such a fact in that self-centric universe of yours? That sound you hear is a slow clap from everyone that reads your comment.
If you are going to perform part of Max Maven’s material at least pronounce the trick correctly. It’s not “Bee Wave” it’s “Bwave”. On a channel like this in regards to magic this shows total lack of knowledge and support to magic history and instruction. Not doing due diligence, RIP Max hope you are not turning in your grave.
Oh come on ffs, he hardly committed a crime here, if Max really did get so hung up on people not pronouncing it then perhaps he ought to have thought of that even he gave it such an obtuse name that is so easily and so often mispronounced! And how absolutely pathetic that he would get annoyed over it. You, too. Any reason to give Craig some crap.
