- Having gone their separate ways since “Beverly Hills, 90210” ended 19 years ago, Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a “Beverly Hills, 90210” reboot up and running. But prepping the new series may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. They did a great job of making sure they said “we all collaborated”. This feels like a conscious decision to credit the entire cast for their involvement.
Man I feel so old... I watched 90210 when it began in 1990. (I'm the same age as Tori Spelling) Really felt like I grew up with this show...Just wished Luke Perry was still with us. :(

I was and still am a HUGE fan of the original Beverly Hills 90210 series! I was very pleased to know that the cast was able to organize this "reunion" type of show however, 6 episodes was NOT enough! I sincerely hope and pray that BH90210 will continue for several more seasons, as the whole idea of playing fictionalized versions of themselves is BRILLIANT! I'm extremely happy that Shannen Doherty decided to participate in the new series as well! Luke Perry and Aaron Spelling would be so proud! RIP Luke & Aaron...
I watched the show when I was in High School in the late 2000s and I still go back on Hulu and watch a few episodes, and I still have inside jokes with friends from high school about the show and we all came of age 15 years after the original show came out. There's something so satisfying about watching the world that was created , something so satisfying and I'd guess there's a lot of high school students since then who have fallen in love with the show even in the past 10 years.
I watched last night's show it was great & so funny! If your a true 90210 fan you will understand how it plays out and if your not a fan and you watch the show you find it boring. I think their pitch on the show is smart! I want more than 6 shows i want a full season.

Thank you ladies for coming up with this concept and not being afraid to poke fun at yourselves once in awhile. There are too many people out there who take themselves too seriously these days. I think BH 90210 has come at the right time when there's a lot of weird, ugly crap going on in the world right now.

I'm so glad I didn't watch this interview first before watching the show premier tonight because they gave away bits about the first episode.
I like to be surprised and I was pleasantly surprised that they went on a COMEDIC route compared to the ORIGINAL 90210 because the original was a really SERIOUS DRAMA.
I'm so Happy that SHANNEN is in it - it's what made me tune in.

I totally love the new concept. I wasn't sure I would but I do. I was 13 in 1990 I grew up in my teen yrs with Beverly Hills 90210 I was obsessed and still obsessed. I have my own teens now

Tori is SOOOOO CUTE & ADORKABLY ENDEARING and Jennie is so GORGEOUS AND SWEET! I never knew their personas cuz I was way too young too fully grasp the intensity of the show but I love these guys and yes they gave us some REAL WORLD before MTV took it and made it script and they took a script and made it REAL - that's Called HOLLYWOOD CLASSIC

I just loved this reboot and was bummed to hear it got canceled. Seems like all the funny shows get canceled.
Brilliant show. Brilliant scripts. Funny on purpose. Tear jerker at times. So many twists. Jason priestly as a director punching a fellow actor? Didnt something like that happen in real life? I get the feeling some of this isnt so fictionalized.

Good to see Jennie and Tori. But the interviewers' vibe was weird maybe he was nervous. The interviewer said the show premieres this Friday... LMAO.. yikes. The vibe was off or the flow of the interview and some of the questions were a bit off..the audience asked great questions. But it's all good. I enjoyed the this!! It is so good to hear from the two actresses and their answers. :)
He's a good interviewer and he's not a robot, so a small mistake is fine. If you think the questions are not good, they're worse in other interviews with the cast.
Without Shannon the show went down, they understood and thank God she is back

I actually like the reboot more than the originally show as it’s „more“ about the real people (actors) and not a fictional person ...
Some have aged great and most seem a lot more sympathetic ...
Jennie was always stunning (still is - in a way even more) but now she seems like a lot nicer person as her original character ... I couldn’t stand her character Kelly back then ...
I was really astonished about myself and impressed by the reboot about how much I actually like it ...
I am curious how it will develop ...

Shannen only appears briefly in the first two episodes and doesn't share any (physical) scenes with any of the cast -- I wonder if that's done on purpose (to poke fun at their "feud")
@EthanKoo Shannen will appear on the first episode of Series 4 of Riverdale which will pay tribute to Luke Perry, funny how only she was asked and not Tori or Jennie who claim to be heartbroken and so close to him but he kept asking the director to get Shannen on Riverdale while he was still alive.
@@julessherwood up until a couple of years ago, Luke never counted Shannen as someone he kept in touch with, in multiple interviews he had only mentioned the guys and Jennie. His and Jennie's friendship has been well documented and her silence speaks volumes about how close they were, versus Shannen who only reconnected with him a couple of years ago, people mistake her being vocal about Luke as a sign of caring more, which is a ridiculous measure to go by. Shannen suits the tone of Riverdale and her involvement would make sense. Some people have some weird twisted fantasy that Luke must have favoured Shannen in real life as a parallel to their Dylan and Brenda dreams.
@Jules Sherwood Shannen has a private friendship with Brian Austin green from away back before 90210 and felt she also had a private respectful friendship with Luke Perry too. shannen will be fantastic for the role in Riverdale for sure but I am sure she would've wanted all the 90210 cast to be on Riverdale with her doing the tribute. Watch the 90210 reunion back in 2003 and see the chemistry between them both. luke plays with Shannen's hair and has his arm around both shannen and jenny lol.

It is so funny to watch Tori speak with all of that junk injected into her face. Hahaha
The animosity between the cast and Shannon was sooooo not overblown by the media to sell magazines. Jennie and she were about to get in a fist fight at one point before being separated. Although the cast as a whole wanted Shannen gone, Jennie and she definitely had the most contentious relationship. Shannon was always late, inconsiderate, and walked around like her shit didn’t stink. But she was brilliant. She only needed to go over her lines once or twice, whereas the rest of the cast always had their scripts hidden somewhere on set. Shannon also was a better actress than the other three. After like three years of dealing with Shannen’s antics, Tori went to her dad and got her axed from the show. So to say that shit was overblown is just not true.
It would be nice if they at least gave a nod to Matt LeBlanc and the show Episodes. He did receive several Emmy noms and win a Golden Globe playing a fictionalized version of himself. It's not a unique concept. It's maybe a touch novel that an entire cast is doing it, but it's not a new idea.

I don’t think they ever claimed they were the first show to do this. Also, Episodes wasn’t the first show to do that. Curb Your Enthusiasm did it before Episodes.

I’d like to know how is this show going to last.. the fans thought in the beginning that they would act out as their characters, not their actual selves, how can this be a story line. They should’ve just picked up from original show. I can’t get into it. Sorry.. 😞
No I'm glad they did it this way bc it's something different as opposed to the same ole reboot . This feels like a fresh take on a reboot and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
