Michelle kwan had triple triple combo since 1995 ~ 2005 ( not every time ) , which means her technique was stable and better than the other skaters like Tara Lipinski had triple triple combo just for 2~3 years. And Michelle skated the whole package. Change of edge spiral is Michelle's signature move.
Michelle kwan finished no lower than 3rd place between 1995 ~ 2004 ( her record is more than Yuna, however she placed 4th at the 2005 World championship because she got hurt and tested the new system ), her longevity was unreal and great.
Michelle's technique was great. She kept top for more than 10 years. Michelle finished no lower than 3rd place between 1995~2004. Michelle's longevity was unreal, for that, her technique was hard to close for the other skaters.
@@TT-ee4qp I agree with you about her longevity as an athlete. But compare to Slutskaya or Lipinski, the quality and the consistency of her technique(especially the jumps) wast good enough though.
@@user-yf6md6pz2m Tara's technique was so so .Tara had a kid's body and weight so easier to jump, nothing more. Tara retired because she grew up and everything changed. Tara also got hurt by the jumps.
@@user-yf6md6pz2m Michelle beat Tara at 1998 US. Michelle made triple triple combo in her programs many times, but she got hurt ( her toes ) before the 1998 Olympics. Actually, Tara didn't really make a correct 3+3 at 1998 Olympics, her performance was like a kid, totally overrated and Michelle was robbed. Anyway, Tara and her jumps had a short life on the ice.
