I am American and i went to Inverness, Scotland on a vacation with my family. My girlfriend and I went out late night and wanted to see the nightlife and meet some locals. We went to a pub and they played this song. It was the first time i had ever heard it and I loved it. Everybody at the bar was singing it! I relive this moment (in my head) every time i hear the song. One of the best memories in my entire life. Beautiful song!
This was the song l sang to my husband the day hospice came to take him we held hands crying the whole time that memory will always be me he said remember those last words died less than 24hrs later. I really can't wait to see those eyes again
