This movie hits home. My mom has dementia. Love them while you have them. We are their memories now of their past.
My husband passed last October 30 from Alzheimer's. We have their memories. It's such a devastating disease...both diseases are the Long Goodbye.
I can see why it won an award. Yet had to stop half way through. Got to me because I'm getting older as so many of us are. In the last ten years I've lost my children, two, a son and a daughter. The thought of who is going to take care of me has been on my mind for some time. Hopefully I'll finish it at a later time.
If you don't know Jesus, talk to him, he will always make a way where there doesn't seem to be a way. You will never be alone if you choose him, God Bless!

Never understood why Lindsay Wagner, didn't become a bigger star. I guess she refused to let the big boys control her. She has such a beautiful voice and face lol.

What a good movie.The true reality of the situation on Dimentia, and how to handle ur loved one in this situation. Its scary really to know if ur doing the right thing for ur loved one.Sad to take them away from the home they know and love would confuse them even more.But the safety of ur loved one i beleive is to be the number one thing u really need to worry about.Please don't stop going in to see them,and visiting them.They will remember,and forget. But its those times they remember! that really count❤

Obviously 100% impossible because he would take the job which would allow him all sorts of financial freedom to care for his mother and take care of all of his legal problems and this is a ridiculous premise because that man died as his father as a very old person who had lived a very long life and they had tons of resources, and the guy was very grateful and had a wonderful day and died a happy, happy person
So this young kid supposedly he’s just gonna run around and grieve and be sad because his dad is dead. He’s gonna lose everything because oh he loves his dad oh blah blah blah and he’s gonna go save his mom who does not need saving because she was fine before that kid came along and messed up everything.
Hollywood Hollywood rated garbage man this could’ve been a decent movie but the premise of it is so stupid because nobody would give up $1 million so they could sell their Emmy for $1200 and kiss some girl it’s just it’s so stupid. It’s like a 12-year-old wrote the script man.

Was a good movie. I was confused at the end, what did the lady and the small child running have to do with the movie though?
It was Jack's memory of when he was a young child with his mother.
Wow
That’s him as a little boy. He remembered he and his mother laughing and having fun on that day.
The mother had her one wish, to see and remember how happy she was on that day while the wind rippled through her hair and as she and her husband were so in love and enjoying the moment.
Her son gave her that peace
Now she could go.
What an incredible son, human being, that would do that.

Easy to see why he left.
The mother just can't stop making caustic remarks from the very moment she sees him. You'd think after all those years she could forgive and let the bitterness go, especially with the recent illustration of how short life is.
Forgiveness is hard when you have to forgive someone who continues to shoot verbal and emotional arrows at you.
Forgiving "in the midst" is a challenge.

It’s 100% impossible for me to suspend my own reality because when my dad died, it was one of the nicest feelings in my life that I’ve never have to listen to his criticisms and his putdowns and his abuses ever again
It was my mother that treated me poorly. I don't miss her. Had to cut her out of my life because she was so toxic
