I had a solo skiff for a few years. It was really fun but kinda pricey and honestly u could get a nice used small boat for what u would spend. The solo skiff is about $2,000 and then to put at least a 5hp outboard on the back your spending another $1,800 . Which is what I did. Then you've got another $600 if you want a sonar/ fish finder. And several hundred more dollars in accessories that are vital if you plan on going out for the day. Sidenote the 5hp was not enough, should have put an 8hp or 10hp on it to be honest ( although SOLO only recommends 5hp) it is 100% going to get water in it if ur going to be in anything but calm waters, but it's usually not much. I've taken mine 5 miles out off the beach and I've been miles up rivers, backwaters, bays, ect. and never had a problem and I even use to take it out during terrible choppy condition just to ride into the waves even to the point to where the waves would crash over and completely engulf over top the entire skiff and it just kept going.
-My takeaway- they are very durable and stable but u will find that unless you are fishing on calm waters u will be sitting 95% of the time to fish. Everything u take with u is going to end up wet unless you keep it inside the storage hatch ( which I didn't use because the space was taken up by batteries powering things). This is not intended to be paddled like a kayak, it is possible and I have done it, but it SUCKS lol and if u have to paddle for any length of time u will be very wore out. And if u are considering one I would encourage you to look at more options because unless someone is selling 1 all set up for very cheap then honestly I think u could find a nice small boat that would be more suitable for most any fishing or exploring u want to do ( unless ur sole purpose in life is to explore very skinny creeks lol ) and also remember it's a SOLO kayak literally ur going on it alone. If ur small and have a small friend u could both take a ride but that's about it. And for ocean fishing it's amazing to go out and spend little to no money on fuel and it's really fin being out and hooking up to a little tuna or Jack, until sharks start chasing ur catch in..then it stops being fun when 12 foot sharks are flying up to you while your sitting in something so small and low to the water. And I'll tell you that you have never felt so small and defenseless as when a 14 foot tiger shark is trying to figure out if ur solo is a meal. And if your on a body of water where other boaters are present br prepared because drunk boaters will be curious what ur riding on and they will fly up with all their HP and do a close loop around u to look sending u into a tizzy hoping u don't fall in. Lol well enough of my rant. they can be very fun, just some things to consider first.

@@AliexFolgueira I target saltwater redfish in Texas. I’ve farted to loud and spooked em’ once. With all die respect Id have to get a 3rd opinion on the noise level as it relates to fishing. 😂😂
