Tom Scarrella Ministries, I was saved at age 15 and I received the Holy Spirit instantly the moment I believed. I was blown away by the presence of the Holy Spirit, and His overwhelming love, joy, and the fire that burned within my heart. However, I never received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The denomination I was raised in taught that the baptism and the filling of the Holy Spirit was one in the same and that the evidence of the miraculous signs and wonders through the power of the Holy Ghost had ceased.
However, in recent years I've learned from Christian Media, how much we need the power of the Holy Spirit to be and do all that is required of the Church and body of Jesus Christ. But I have not been successful in receiving the power/baptism of the Holy Spirit. I've prayed, and called several ministry prayer lines and they too have prayed for and with me, and sent material for me to read.
I've tried speaking it out in faith, as I was told it would come, but nothing happened. I've read, studied, searched and tried everything that those in the know said to do, still nothing. I'm glad that getting saved and the initial filling of the Holy Spirit of being born again wasn't this hard. He just came as soon as I invited Jesus into my heart.
After my failed attempts I went back to the book of Acts and I saw that some received it by the laying on of hands, so I thought perhaps that's what I needed. But when I heard you say that you demonstrated in the previous service that they didn't need anyone to lay hands on them. I was elated, because it instilled a new hope in me. But that part wasn't on this video, so I had to write and ask you. Did you post it on CZcams or your website? If so, what's the name of it. If not, can you tell me how to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? Because I want the fire of the Holy Spirit not only within me, but all over me and evident in my life until Jesus calls me to forever be with Him. I'm eager to start hearing, walking, talking, and seeing Jesus manifest His Spirit in my life everyday, and start doing everything He says I can do, through the empowerment of His Holy Spirit. I really hope you can help me. Can you, will you please help me?

A healthy perspective on end times is to "watch" as we were commanded by Jesus to do.
Proper perspective brings purification rather than the distraction you believe. It brings an urgency to the harvest.
To ignore Biblical prophecy is as bad as ignoring the power of Holy Spirit.
I dont say this to be critical. I am amazed at how we each seem to have pieces of the truth that we cling to. If only we could share and partake of the pieces we each have so carefully preserved.

Acts 1:6-8 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Right, you might want to rethink what they were asking Jesus.
I didnt post to argue with you and I do appreciate your teaching. Let that be known above all. My point was along the lines of 1 John 3:3 and 2 Tim 4:8.
Luke 21:34-36 contains the command to watch. It's to keep us on the mark in every generation. It shouldn't be considered a derailment. You cant say pay attention and then say dont worry about it boys. This shows that more understanding is required for he did indeed command watching and readiness.
Believe me, I'm on your side about not participating in the harvest! But neglecting to study prophecy is as bad as neglecting to grow and use the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Paul focuses on crucifixion in that verse because he is so adamant about his own crucifixion to the world..including his own wisdom and thoughts .. he was just making sure he was coming to them in the power of Jesus and certainly not of himself. This was a good sermon but all of us didn’t throw it out lol
I disagree with you that it was just for Paul to focus on, otherwise you have to say that "the just shall live by faith" or "saved by grace through faith" was just Paul trying to come to grips with his own salvation... or was it God's word for us all? If part is God's word for us all, then all of it is. And I was speaking in generalities regarding Protestants throwing out much of the crucifixion... I do challenge you to tell me of a Protestant church with one crucifix in it near you. Martin Luther worked hard to spook his followers from the power of God and the crucified Christ. 😀
There are no protestant churches that i know of that do.. I dont have one either lol and won't because i do agree with what you are saying... I just think just in this instance his refence to the crucifixion was like what is said in Galatians 2:3 i have been crucified with Christ.. It is no longer I who live.. And oh absolutely everything justified by faith.. I was thinking he might just be stating that about the crucifixion because it was so important to him to really put all the emphasis on Christ.. Yes the crucifixion and certainly everything after that as well and everything before it too.. Paul is so fascinating and amazing to me even after all these years.. I imagine he might have been to everyone.. I could go on and on a d on about this but i didnt mean this to be offensive or disagreeing with you.. I just feel like maybe possibly he might have been focused on what Jesus did for him and him also through his total dedication to Christ his crucifixion with Christ as well.. Just a thought..not an argument.. I havent thrown out the crucifixion is what i meant.. We sometimes do i sometimes do because we or i want to get to the good stuff.. The truth is Jesus Christ is Lord and King and Savior and Everything.. And He has brought us into this Kingdom because there is nothing BUT this.. Seated already Heirs and Total Commitment until the end.. I have to finish watching. Love it so far and although you disagree with me i totally agree with you
