I had a guy in my school who acted like this. He sprained his ankle and loved the attention from it. Especially being helped often and excused from work. It was annoying because he had to make sure others knew his foot had a cast on it. He talked about it everyday. Im pretty sure he said he wanted to keep it forever. Pt2: also he was popular, thats why he was treated as such. This poor guy who really broke his leg, who was a bit skiddish and unpopular, always got on the bus last (long story short there was never enough room on our route it was crowded and roudy) and no one would let him go on first even though he needed to as he cant walk home and needs help getting on the bus. But no one helped him.. they just pushed him out of the way like the narcissist I knew my old classmates as. I didnt usually go on that bus but one time i did and i saw just how selfish people were on the one day i was obligated to. I offered for him to go ahead of me (him and me were last because i could care less where i sit) but he didnt want to at that point. Sad to see how in modern times people are broken down until they have nothing left and are nothing, while others are prized. Due to the most selfish of reasons. I wish i wasnt born to such societies but I was.
